Trump is the most incompetent administrator and propagandist to have ever held the figurehead.
That doesn’t mean his agenda is novel or even has anything to do with him.
The agenda is giving finance capital control over all resources in the world, and has been obediently followed by every president since the fall of the USSR.
Yeah. But mostly it’s just a scam or low quality medicines. Thousands of government hospitals in india doesn’t have any facilities at all. Private hospitals are working to harvest money as much as possible. Even in government hospitals patients have to sleep in floor.
Also most of the health care products available in markets are not so healthy or even original products at all. People pay to buy things that destroy their health because of no other way.
They are saying india is improving by hiding all these ugly facts. Every government is heavy trying to act like they don’t see these at all. They stole their own people.
Btw, it’s really not so proud to say an indian. Never has been. 🫥
Sure, someone could do the opposite of what Microsoft did: build a pretty invisible virtual machine that runs windows and windows apps. But performance would take a hit, you wouldn’t play games like this.
Sorry, with the greatest respect, this is incorrect.
Here in Australia you can register a company by paying the regulator fees of about $600 AUD (about half a weeks average wage). Thereafter you can start selling pizzas anjoying the limited liability of your corporate structure.
There are of course exceptions and caveats, notably your landlord will almost certainly ask for a personal guarantee - so you have to pay the lease even if the company goes tits up, but that’s mitigated by your ability to assign the lease to another tenant if you wish.
You might be thinking of publicly listed companies which are listed on the stock exchange. Those are subject to a much higher level of scrutiny and rigorous regulation which is indeed out of reach of “mum and dad” businesses, but that’s not a requirement for limited liability.
Of course, plenty of people don’t bother talking to a CPA before starting a business, or a company may be inadvisable for whatever reason, and they end up trading without a corporate trading structure, and have no limited liability.
No. What happened was my wife worked for probably two years to get the insurance company to pay the full bill or have the ambulance company reduce it.
In case anyone here doesn’t know, never pay the first bill you get. Wait until the final bill. The insurance company and the provider keep negotiating and the price comes down, often in a significant way.
Anyway, the air ambulance service refused to reduce and just said they didn’t negotiate. That was just what they charge. The insurance company just kept saying that they already paid and weren’t going to pay more. Mind you after the $124,000 hospital bill, we had reached her out-of-pocket maximum of $16,000, which we did pay. Mind you, my wife was unconscious and actually never agreed to be airlifted. When it looked like they were going to sue us for the rest of the bill, my wife’s employer agreed to pay the bill for us. They were self insured and not happy with the carrier they had chosen. This apparently wasn’t the first issue they had had with their employees. It was a non profit and we were grateful for their kindness.
Also, we had the same problem with the ground ambulance which charged $1600 to drive her from the airport to the hospital, a distance of about 2 miles. You can literally see the hospital from the airport.
Also on a related note, since we had paid our maximum family out of pocket, I opted to have a recommended colonoscopy at that time. That’s when we found out that I am NOT family. Family=children. I’m a spouse and had to meet my own out-of-pocket maximum. It’s a really great system.
Why? E girls provide a service that is rare and valuable, and the people who pay them clearly prefer to pay them for this service rather than not recieving the service. So do you think the E girls should be made to provide their services for free, or do you want to deprive the people who pay them of assuaging their loneliness even a little?
Sure, you could say something about how if society were structured differently, no one would be lonely and everything would be sunshine and unicorn farts. But neither the E girls nor their customers can have any real impact on the whole shape of society.
If you really want to get rid of your dual boot but need Windows, you could set up a virtual machine running Windows. You need a bit of a nicer machine to deal with the overhead, but it’s not so bad as people assume a lot of the time. As long as you don’t need the GPU for what you’re doing, I think it’s even pretty easy to give the VM direct access to the base hardware it needs, which cuts a fair bit of overhead. It may or may not get fairly technical to set up, depending on your hardware, distro, and personal luck, but it might be viable.
Not quite. I’ve downloaded and looked at it a little, but after all the time I’ve spent learning FL, looking at a new DAW doesn’t sound fun. is there anything similar to FL that has all of the instruments, piano rolls, effects and all that good stuff? if I don’t have to touch windows for the rest of my existence I’d be great.
Afaik it was issued only to appease (British or French) custom and borders agencies. Ramses II was send to another country for research and even deceased humans require an ID to enter the receiving country.
I’ve done my research, and apparently Wine can run it pretty well.. Until you add third part plug ins. I’m pretty new to Linux since having the steamdeck and I really want nothing to do with windows.. I just really want to work on music and I’ve been learning FL for years so I don’t want to switch. I also never find anything as vast as FL with its piano roll, instruments and effects etc.
You’ve probably heard of an internal combustion engine, like what power cars and airplanes. Well there’s such a thing as an external combustion engine - a steam engine. A steam engine just needs some source of high pressure steam, the source of heat you find to boil the necessary water is almost a separate problem. You could use a wood fire, a coal fire, an oil fire, a natural gas fire. I’ve seen a small steam engine that runs on a tea candle. Heat from a geothermal vent, concentrated sunlight, or nuclear power.
How about a diesel engine? Large oceangoing vessels with 2-stroke diesel engines the size of a duplex put out a lot of waste heat, plenty enough to boil water and run a steam turbine engine. The diesel engine provides main propulsion, the steam engine powered by its exhaust provides electricity. Ships with such a system can shut down their aux engines while underway saving tons of fuel per voyage.
Roko’s basilisk is a thought experiment which states that there could be an artificial superintelligence in the future that, while otherwise benevolent, would punish anyone who knew of its potential existence but did not directly contribute to its advancement or development, in order to encourage that advancement.
Yeah I’ve seen a bunch of these. It’s pretty clear that ID verification is just a drag net to catch the uninformed or stupid people which is going to be like 70% of traffic anyway.
What got forked? Edge started out as a rebranded IE. It was using Trident iirc at its core engine. Then moved to EdgeHTML then chromium. I think they’re rebranded/reinvented since the old versions were discontinued.
I hear ya. I just mean looking at it from a purely selfish and utilitarian lens there really is no actual reason for a lot of the bad shit happening. Like it’s not helping anyone, it’s actively harming people and a lot of the people getting harmed voted for it.
I guess maybe because it makes people money in terms of the military industrial complex and prison complex (slavery) so that could be part of it. I’m tired of it all though - this timeline is so stupid.
Makes me wonder how many laptops seemed to randomly get bricked because it tried to update but then ran out of battery in the middle of it but the user just sees that their laptop had no battery left and then won’t boot properly after that, never realizing it decided to update itself.
I worked in a rural hospital in a blue state throughout the entire pandemic and do not remember this. Can someone add sources bc I’m not seeing much when I Google it. The hospital I worked for had serious problems with misappropriation of funds from government funding but we did have PPE.
Add black plus was pretty good, but it could leak from time to time with YouTube ads. Sometimes needed a little extra to make sure you got everything on YouTube.
“Section 1. Antifa as a Terrorist Threat. Antifa is a militarist, anarchist enterprise that explicitly calls for the overthrow of the United States Government, law enforcement authorities, and our system of law. It uses illegal means to organize and execute a campaign of violence and terrorism nationwide…”
Recently I had to reboot to fix a zombie process (caused by a GPU crash, not sure if it was hardware or the driver). When shutting down systemd waited 2 minutes for all process to be killed and then another 2 minutes for the specific zombie process.
You ever hear the saying that if you gave an infinite number of monkeys and infinite number of typewriters at least one of them would likely produce the stage play of Hamlet by pure chance from slamming the keys? That’s not exactly how this works but it’s close. The reality is co-operative power always exceeds what any individual can do, but co-operative power requires co-ordination. Usually these systems start out with well meaning people coordinating groups of people to build a house, raise a barn, build a wall, found a city, organize a farming district, found a nation, start a multinational corporation. Unfortunately the guy co-coordinating the team, tends to get a little full of himself over time, starts taking bigger shares for himself than is truly justifiable, and then their kids do the same thing and the system starts to decay.
Public, private, capitalist, socialist, doesn’t matter what the goal or structure of the organization looks like, it always rots from the top. And then it falls apart, we rinse the blood off, and repeat with a slightly different version. This is not new, Plato had a very good description of it in 375 BCE (approximately). And every new attempt we try to build it a little bit better to prevent someone (or their great, great grandson) from eventually deciding they’re a demigod and entitled to do whatever horrendous idea pops into their head. We even built systems that kick you out of the top seat every once in a while to see if people still trust you to be in charge. Unfortunately we forgot corporate governance is also governance, creating a wealth class which became modern aristocracy, and yada yada here we are. Turns out our current system is also vulnerable to corruption. So are all the rest we’ve tried too though, and we have at least 10,000 years of attempts at it. It’s a hard problem.
We get better, we still fail, we try again, repeat infinitely. How do we do good things like abolishing slavery, age of consent and minimum wage? We got better. Why are there still evil, greedy, pedos in charge? Well, they didn’t start that way, but they did end up a blood sucking fiend, sometimes after generations of rot, sometimes in one lifetime. You can’t really turn a vampire back to human though, so we do what we have to do. We’ll hopefully find a better solution on the next go around, trying to figure out how to work together to achieve a good life for everyone without the people facilitating the project turning into monsters.
Pretty sure revanced has been abandoned. Morphe works perfectly fine, though I’ve had at least one instance since using it, that it stopped functioning, but just required an update. Using morphe for both youtube and youtube music.
I’ve had to RMA plenty of otherwise perfectly usable motherboards because Windows had fucked up their firmware with unprompted updates, bordering on zero-click malware behaviour. The farther that shit stays from Linux, the better.
Fun fact, the Nicine Creed exists because this question was a legitimate crisis of Christianity. The council of Nicaea determined that Jesus was not created by God but rather “begotten”, meaning he was equivalent to God but not the same as God, and has existed for all eternity as part of God
I’ve been involved in math, software and hardware. The core function is the same: finding solutions to problems. Pedantically gatekeeping, I have little knowledge of engines. I’m grateful that usage is antiquated.
I am lucky enough to not have had any problems with calling a shutdown… just now with a problem I recently learned where my desktop treats shutdown as reboot. Definitely gotta look into that.
Also, that’s a thing Systemd is (more or less) infamous for.
I’ve never heard of it before. I don’t know where it is infamous, I’ve never had that issue and of all the criticism I’ve seen levelled at Linux in general or systemd in particular, that has never been one. Maybe there was some configuration stuff, as the other reply mentioned?
Dude you obviously have not seen game shows from well forever the last 50 60 years at very least. Mr beast is just a continuation of those game shows. I for one had never really heard or watched him before beast games came out. And then I started saying more and more of his stuff. But it’s always been a part of game show culture and everything else culture to value the game and the money over anything else. However even watching those games and even his games you’ll see quite a few people that value other things over the money.

It’s funny, that pizza shop on the corner doesn’t benefit from liability protections. It is their ass on the line, which is why people running personally-owned places tend to actually worry about accountability.

I enjoy atmospheric movies, sometimes they are quiet and try to build up tension with subtle sound design.
Popcorn kills that. Like if we’re watching some action flick crunch away. But if it’s some atmo horror or whatever movie, maybe 50 people chewing with their mouths open and slurping drinks kind of negates the whole point of the movie.
Ollie’s has Mr. Beast beef jerky. Seems more appropriate.

I was referring to chromium forking from WebKit
No that would probably be the xfce equivalent.
okay this one is so painfully straight forward that the next one has to be more abstract again.
no more dumping my CoT and more putting feelings into drawings is what i feel is needed.

No, François, let that one go! He has spirit! Someday he may be vice-president!

uTorrent is malware?
That is clearly shopped. Legs and shadow look weird also the dress is too “sparkly”.
Oh shit this is real lol.
nah, weird meme tbh
Yeesh, what an illustration of the goofy bullshit people make up to avoid fixing what’s actually wrong with their belief systems…
Of all the bullshit we have put in cars reverse cameras are one of the few things I don’t think I can go without.
I don’t copy it over the new one but I do grab things like fstab settings and other things.
Setting up a vm is a trivial task for me. I’ll take a look at winboat though

I don’t even remember the first 3 games having puzzles unless you count the QTEs as puzzles. It was pure action.
But also: Why does Odin sound like he’s from New York?
And what is the basis of that desire?

Hydro doesn’t boil water, either. Just moves it around.
Still reading his books, so I dunno about Thor in the TP universe :D
Does he appear in a discworld related book?

Shit, guess all anti-fascists are terrorists now.
Aight
Lucky you.
Just use IPV6
I’m assuming you’ve never experienced the world of safety critical software development like the medical and aerospace industries.
True story! This is only 2ft deep. But don’t jump in otherwise.
