On a related note last summer I saw a girl walking out from the bar in one of those inflateable dinosaur costumes. That was the most standing out Iāve seen.
I sort of do this to my wife. Sheās unbearably hot. Also sort of hates strangers.
Iām kind of the attention seeker, but she will dress up for me sometimes. Last year we went to a Halloween party where she wore a black skin-tight snakeskin patterned catsuit. She also had on a horned black mask - she was a hot dragon.
But as a word of advice: take really, really good measurements multiple times at different times of the day and rely on the largest measurement collected for a given area. Also, only buy one the first time you purchase.
(The latter thing didnāt bite us, but could have. The elbows, of all places, are a touch too small and after about an hour start to become uncomfortable.)
Edit: One last thing! If youāre going for a full body look and planning to actually wear it for a bit, get the crotch zipper, so you donāt have to strip to pee. (I didnāt because I kept thinking I wasnāt gonna boink her while she wore it, because I have a one track mind, and that was a dumb decision.)
On the other side of the coin, you have to really go out of your way to find colors of certain things that arenāt navy, grey, black, or white in Japan. I wear polos to work and I havenāt seen one outside those colors in at least a few years now. Part of the problem is the fact that I need to shop in the fat dude section (which was true even before I was a fat dude because normal shirts here arenāt designed for broad shoulders), but even in the rest of the store the color selections arenāt great. I also live in the ass end of nowhere, so Iām sure thereād be more selection in like tokyo.
Well, menās clothes are more muted in general, and youāre out of the usual size range, so thereās going to be less choice ⦠I have to admit, I donāt really look at men while out and about, so Iām just going off womenās clothing choices. And my opinion is formed from Vietnam, Singapore, and China
Iāve been there multiple times and can confirm. Among the younger population itās like 90% black and white clothing. That number goes down as you look at older groups. However, almost all of the cars are also black or white.
I stuck out like a sore thumb wearing pink, orange, green, etc. Last time I went, I was in Seoul for a whole week. I saw one young person wearing pink, and maybe 10 young people wearing colorful outfits.
There is much more to see on Castro than a big dude wearing a pretty dress. I may glance but I gotta pay attention to the other mayhem happening around me.
Makes sense. Pretending to be something youāre not is helpful when seeking an asymmetrical relationship with an unbalanced power dynamic in your favor.
But you canāt actually reverse roles as a direct 1:1 because womenās sexuality, bodily autonomy, authority arenāt treated equal to menās. Itās inherently different because there isnāt actually a direct inverse. I do think a post similar to this about a cute femboy wearing something similar in a similar situation would be getting upvotes and comments.
Your comment just reads like āyou can be a man or be politicalā and think people only like this because itās āpoliticalā aka woke but there shouldnāt be anything woke about a woman being sexually liberated, practicing choice and autonomy or refusing to conform, she has every right and I support that.
Did you make the /s super small? Like you wanted the littlest deniability that you werenāt serious. We know youāre kidding, itās just a weak joke. Like theyāre discussing feminism on Lemmy to get laid? Get some better material
Yes, I did make the /s super small like I wanted the littlest deniability that I wasnāt serious. I am super glad you know Iām kidding. Youāre right it is a weak joke. No, not like they are discussing feminism on Lemmy to get laid, but that it was an attempt to characterize the comment as white knighting or simping. Thank you for the joke critique. I promise to do better, so you arenāt disappointed at my attempts at humor in the future.
The difference is power structures and cultural incentives. Fuckboys tend to not react pleasantly to being turned down. I get more āhimboā (keeping the male parallel theme going) vibes from Violet. Sheās down to clown, isnāt afraid to let that be known, but nothing screams that anything nonconsensual is happening here.
People fuck, who cares? She doesnāt appear to be hurting anyone. Her posts are funny, it doesnāt need to be deep.
I interpreted this as not really a condemnation, but explanation. As in, a person dresses this way because they want to be looked at, but it isnāt an invitation to interact, but explained in second person.
Well two small things: first, thereās a lot of ways to look good, and I donāt buy ājust likes looking good, doesnāt want attentionā when there are ways to look good without drawing attention. There must be a reason to override that desire not to attract attention.
Second⦠I mean, itās violets, we donāt really need to speculate!
itās violets, we donāt really need to speculate!
Indeed. Sheās been very upfront about the fact that sheās seeking validation and amusement in the form of attention from men who are sexually repressed by their culture and has no intentions of returning any of the attention she receives from them unless it benefits her. Many Korean hearts will be broken this summer.
But hey, at least we get to upvote the memes about it and cheer for āgirl powerā right?
In what way do you consider yourself shy?

in no way, itās just how this meme format goesš©
āItās violet isnāt it?ā
āYup, of courseā
No wonder the korean dads cant control themselves

Damn bro here flexing on us with their actual dragon girl gf
If we ever get the neon soaked cyberpunk future we deserve Iām buying several of these, damn
You absolutely should.

This story is worthless without pics of your wife.
I mean if weāre asking, Iāll take one of Mr Husband. He sounds hot.

Alas, like a dragon, there are some elements of my (and others) privacy that I hoard.
Tru, plus this link is kinda sus..
Is it really conformist monochrome? Never been there, but I can hardly resist asking you for sharing a story.
Yeah, if you look up Seoul walking tour videos on YouTube, youāll see for yourself: Koreans are obsessed with black, white, and gray.
Meanwhile in any other Asian country ā¦

I bet Iād still stand out wearing the exact same thing in San Fransisco, CA.
Interesting city choice. It, uh, might be noticed but I donāt think āstand outā is the right vibe.
New York, Chicago, Minneapolis, LA? Definitely. San Francisco? Soft maybe
Iām a 6ā6āā dude who looks like a metalhead. I could probably still stand out on Castro street if I wore this.
Prove it.
There is much more to see on Castro than a big dude wearing a pretty dress. I may glance but I gotta pay attention to the other mayhem happening around me.

Sounds like a gonewild post āMy first time, be nice guysā āHereās my asshole spread 2 inches awayā
I donāt get it. We can all agree that fuccbois and PUAs are gross, but weāre all celebrating this personās recent posts?
If this were a white guy bragging about how easy it is to bang Korean MILFs, yāall would not be in here with the same type of comments.

Bro, she aināt gonna fuck you

I was expecting this comment though lol, but girls support girls is my motto
lol, youāre all good. I actually agree with you 1000% š

so like, it didnt even cross my mind that this fit was to get some dick, but rather about being different even though one is shy
I can smell jealousy from a mile away, man. If you want to wear a skimpy outfit, by all means.
Whatās a PUA?
Pick-up artist
Violet is super annoying but I guess guys like a thirsty, horny Lemmy user? For all we know, itās a guy.
Still more fun than a scold, no?
Fuccbois and pua arenāt honest about their intentions.
She is honest.
PUAs? Is violet negging groups of guys or getting them drunk so she can rape them?
If youāre shy Iām Lawrence of Arabia
lol, in an outfit like that none of the guys you meet are going to last a worthwhile about of time
Skill issue.
Youāre desperate for attention. Doesnāt mean you actually want to talk to any of the people who take the bait.
At peril of stating the obvious:
You did. You commented.
I interpreted this as not really a condemnation, but explanation. As in, a person dresses this way because they want to be looked at, but it isnāt an invitation to interact, but explained in second person.
Thatās very charitable. I can see it.
Or maybe she just likes looking good? Iām shy and I like to dress up because it makes me feel more confident about myself.

The people hated him because he showed them the truth.
