If a human author can create people and worlds with the power of words engraved on a tablet, what is telling us we are not simply the story of a more powerful being?

You always were the god of the worlds you made. You created them, you guide their events, and, ultimately, you must end them, either deliberately, or through inattention. In those worlds you hold the power of life and death, of existence and non-existence, in your hand. Wield it wisely, and try not to wonder if we too are not just the figments of some author’s imagination.
