No running on the Promenade!

Yeah sorry it’s been stuck in mine since I posted it

The song is going to be stuck in my head all day now…

Come for the funny Ferengi barkeep, stay for the intragalactic clone wars

Station so big, you need a wormhole to get across (pic unrelated; I’m talking about your ass)

According to whatkardassianseat dot com, cardassians subsist on a diet of yalmok sauce, voles, and self-sealing stem bolts.

Ugh you got your shopping mall all over my ear outpost

Did anyone ever apply that dumb theory to actually invading, extraterrestrial aliens?

Im at the combination shopping mall and war outpost.

…Holy cow the conservative Trekkies were right all along…

Yes, as long as you mean replacing coffee with tea.

Does Picard … advocate the great replacement theory ?

Nah, it’s just another Vole attack, it’ll be over in a minute.

Gambling at the commissary, beef is 2 for 1 and im hot on the dabo rn come on down

:red alert:

On second thought give it a bit

This is my favorite post anywhere ever

Damn Tellarites, nobody likes them, even the Tellarites.

Lizard babies, space cheese that makes the ship sick, yeah, I could see this going down in VOY.

Let’s be honest the Voyager writers would have done this if they thought they could

And, importantly, if anyone asks how many people know you tell them you distributed proof to your associates and that if any harm should come to anyone in your network that the holoimages go public.

Ah. Right.. I knew there was some form of increased speed.

No, they just bodged the manouvering thrusters to be able to act like impulse engines.

Didn’t they temporarily jerry rig warp travel for the entire station in one of the first episodes when the wormhole was discovered, to beat the cardassians to it?

We had to say dickety cause the Klingons stole our word “twenty”.

Noooo Garak would probably not murder his husband!

Someone should edit this to have the good doctor eating poison fish

Lmao, DS9 traveling at warp in the last panel

They formed from the same big bang so historically speaking they are basically Earth

Technically correct, the best kind of correct.

There’s a similar Terry Pratchett quote from Jingo: “Build a man a fire, and he’ll be warm for a day. Set a man on fire, and he’ll be warm for the rest of his life.”

Not only that, but he was an hypocrite for deleting it afterwards.

And sure, using some shadily obtained data to treat B’elanna was ok, but somehow restoring two people to life by correcting a transporter error was unethical? Such hubris

I hate the “destroy the central entity and the others will be disabled” trope, so overused in sci-fi

beverly is more concerned with ghost relationships. i believed the voy doctor was a little less ethical, he was using a cardassians medical knowledge(hologram), which he experimented on bojarans to safely remove an alien parasite from be;lana

He failed to give a cure to a genetic error to the Valakians so the Menks could eventually stop being slaves.

He refused to cure a developing species of aliens essentially suffering from being on the bad end of natural selection, thereby establishing the ethical precedent that would eventually lead to the prime directive. In other words, he’s a badass.

I cannot express frequently enough how much it bothers me that his current iteration of Paramount own Trek, Avatar – martial arts and friendship, not blue cat people – and TMNT.

Regardless of what I do or do not want, Paramount keeps announcing that they’ve got movies in pre-production.

Given the state of Hollywood I would rather not

Avatar fans (Both avatars franchise), how long they wait? Like 11 years for new content? Star Trek can be no different! /s

Yes!

It’s “far beyond the stars” - a absolute masterpiece of an episode of DS9

I don’t like seeing this amazing scene turned into a meme, personally.

Id pay to see a theatrical version of The Drumhead

What, did you want section 31 in theaters?

The best trek is lawyer Picard. You don’t need a Cineplex for that.

Yeah that was a really powerful scene and story. Very poignant presentation of a prevailing theme of the show, and they absolutely hit it out of the park =]

Select the colour that smells the worst: 🟥🟧🟨🟩🟦🟪

Better, I will wish us sanity, if that is still possible in this world.

Well, the silver lining of being this radioactive is that I have a coin flip’s chance of either developing the powers of Q or spending the rest of my life in the beep chair. Wish me luck!

On an unrelated note, you seem to have attracted some followers, highly stable geniuses who downvote like literally everything you do (bc that’s what the downvote button exists for, don’tchya’know - much emotional stability, so not-cringe /s).

He’s using the magic he knows. He’s believing.

Spock from Star Trek: The Animated Series has his arms stretched forward, with rainbows around his hands. Caption: "Imagination"

Honestly, I wouldn’t be mad if we got a The Magicks of Megas-tu prequel even if it breaks a bunch of canon and they use a convenient memory wipe to solve all the problems, mostly because it would involve TAS getting any canon recognition whatsoever.

Seems like a different genre. Dungeon master is even older, you might like that

Are you telling me the Great Link is a big and perpetual changeling orgy?

Maybe it’s one of the Calamarain, like the one Q summoned onto his palm in Deja Q

“I’m not doing the bidding of Section 34, Sloan.”

“Doctor, you will wear the femboy catsuit. It’s not a question of if, but when. You may scoff now with your moral quandaries. But I too I toss and turn at night, unable to sleep with the cat-tail plug, and let me tell you - it’s an infinitesimally small ask to keep the Federation safe.”

He uses magnetic fields to trap his blue angels. He was hilarious at parties when younger.

It’s not a fan novel.

The Full Circle Voyager series is official tie-in fiction published by Pocketbooks and CBS. Official tie-in fiction is beta-canon. That is, canon until overwritten by something onscreen.

The key thing in this is that the tie-in writer for this series Kirsten Beyer has significant credibility and authority within the franchise. Her research and statements on the legal situation around this are credible and official.

Kirsten Beyer was in the middle of writing the Voyager books when she joined the television writers as of the first season of Discovery. She’s officially got the mandate as the expert keeper of canon in the writers room — even if she’s not always listened too. More, she was made the liaison for the tie-in writers to the shows as of 2017. She’s now a CoExecutive Producer and cocreator of SNW.

When that book was published, and she chased down the history on Locarno/Paris, she had the greatest access to past Executive Producers and internal legal advice and archives. She wouldn’t have claimed that without solid evidence.

He’s probably manifesting Picard through his own and Sarek’s shared Katra. Like a Katra ghost… Because that’s the sort of dumb shit the SNW writers will make up on the spot for no good reason.

Four words, “The year of hell”. It was 90 minutes and immediately reset by the end of part 2…

I believe he’s channeling his ki to charge a kamehameha.

Crazy how I never would have imagined that’s what they were for. I had no idea about ai but looking back it’s so obvious

When I was watching Star Trek, I was thinking, will people still play videogames or they will play shooters in the holodeck instead?

If you like old games and also sci-fi, check out System Shock 1.

She did not get it to run Doom but to play it.

The drawing is from a star trek / magic the gathering cross over card: https://tagger.scryfall.com/card/trk/366

This came a year before doom, and I thought it was a much better game

One of those things remotely decompiled the entire contents of a late ‘90s PC in seconds (that VOY episode with Sarah Silverman) so that doesn’t really feel like a challenge

I still can’t get the motorcycle ones. Particular as they never seem to have what we call motorcycles in my country, so I don’t know if an electric bike, a scooter, or a moped is expected to count. I keep trying until eventually it gives me a different one.

Well yeah, the basic AI training has been done, so obey your big tech overlords and work harder, slave.

They don’t care about how you feel, only about what you produce.

Yes! As with many things Voyager, it set up a good premise only to move on from it an episode or two later.
