I also learned that when an author like Stephen King signs Dean Koontz's books, the price goes even higher and that Dean Koontz is not amused by this.

I recall a The Simpsons episode where Homer thinks the ran over Stephen King. He gets out of the car to discover it's Dean Koontz whereupon he gets back in the car and runs over him again, twice.

I would do the same.
