He did the same with cigarettes immediately after.
In my teen years: “I’m not going to lie to you son, sex feels great. But if you do it with the wrong person it can ruin the rest of your life and you’ll never get to do it again so make sure she’s right for you before you do it or you’ll regret it for the rest of your life”
