possible; If someone is spamming the API it can easily bog things down.
It was about 5 or 6 spam bots blasting out lots of spam; probably just someone abusing lemmy/smaller instances. I’ve turned off new account registration for now. Unfortunately the captcha system included in lemmy isn’t the most powerful. If you see any others report em and they’ll be banned

off the top of my head, gamma world, mutant crawl classics, Mutant (and its more modern version mutant year zero).
Mutants and masterminds depending on your definition of mutation, since its more like “superhero marvel mutants” than like “radioactive mutants”
Monte cooke games also has a 5e supplement called “arcana of the ancients” that includes mutation rules that are pretty good IMO.
I dont know if it will include it, but i am like 90% sure the upcoming mystic punks from exalted funeral is going to have something to do with mutants.

We are up an running on a new host!
The migration is complete and we’re up and running. You might notice some small data loss, but hopefully nothing major.
Planning to migrate to a new host this weekend (12/12 - 12/14)
We will target migrating to a new hosting service this weekend. The site will probably be taken down sometime on 12/12/2025 to perform final backups from our current host and uploading to the new host. The weekend will then be set aside for migration on to the new host.
Object storage migration is complete! Next step is hosting migration
Hey all, just an update, our object storage migration mentioned in the previous announcement is complete; We should be using the new backend for image storage now and image uploads should be re-enabled.
Beginning probably tomorrow (12/2/2025) we will be migrating our image hosting to object storage
Just an FYI, as part of our migration off of our current host, it’s become apparent that we’re going to need to migrate our image hosting to object storage.

An FYI - our host is going out of business
I’ve just been made aware of this, but as an fyi to the community, our hosting company is going out of business. There’s time for us to migrate hosting services, the final date is February of 2026, and they’re available for us to assist in migration of our instance, but I wanted to share with everyone, as we might see some down time after figuring out what’s next.

heads up - Pict-rs downtime tomorrow morning (5/8/2025)
Just an FYI, pict-rs (the picture service used by lemmy) will be going down for an upgrade tomorrow morning. It should only last for about an hour or so, during which time image upload, image viewing, thumbnails, etc. will be unavailable. The rest of the services (lemmy, comments, discussion, etc.) will all be available during this time.
