My music setup was a pinned browser tab for years. It worked, technically. It also ate RAM doing nothing, my media keys only worked when that tab happened to be focused, and I killed the music at least once a week by closing the wrong window. There’s no official YouTube Music desktop app on Linux, and most of what exists is the same web player in an Electron shell.

Has anyone set up file-sharing, especially torrents or something similar, over freenet? It reminds me of reticulum in that it’s supposedly decentralized, but it looks more technically developed (i.e. not written in python).

Many people assume that an AI “Share” link is effectively private unless they send it to someone. That’s not how the web works. Recently, users discovered that searches like site:claude.ai/share and site:claude.ai/public/artifacts returned publicly shared Claude conversations through search engines. Some indexed pages reportedly contained resumes, company discussions, code, and other sensitive information. Google began removing many results, but the incident highlights an important privacy lesson: once a conversation is published as a public webpage, it can become discoverable

Xbox 360 softmod?

I’ve been hearing about an Xbox 360 softmod that runs off a flash drive. I have an Xbox 360, and I have an iPhone, and an Android phone, and I have Macs, so it should be enough to put the softmod on a flash drive and stick it in the 360, right? Well, the instructions I’m finding (on various YouTube videos about it) all say I have to run a .EXE file (in Windows). The only access I have to Windows is at work, and we can’t bring flash drives in, or run executable files there (that aren’t approved). All this sounds real sketchy anyway. So, is there any truth to this softmod or are various YouTubers (none of them well known, trustworthy sources) just trying to get people to install ransomware on Windows machines?

He could’ve done it by himself technically speaking, but he knows that I’m knowledgeable when it comes to tech, so why not.
