I assume yeah, it was mentioned more often back in school, but nowadays in adult life and having mostly the same friend and social group for more than a decade it’s not something that people mention or rub it in regularly enough to be noticable.


Yes but no. Most of my friends are also autistic or ADHD or both as well. Most of my coworkers too (shout out to the trades for paying us neurodivergent folks). So at home and at work, I fit right in.

But then when I have to go places like the DMV, the doctor, a government building or some social event, I’m a weirdo again. It’s very obvious in some places that I’m strange. Sometimes I can find the other strange people but, not always.


A definite yes by people close to me. Not so much by strangers. I’m good at masking.
