@thelinuxexperiment The idea of Distros making custom forks of outdated software they maintain looks like an interesting compromise, but do they currently have enough resources and people to do it?
This looks like a shift that would take a long time to become effective, even if it's a positive change.
@thelinuxexperiment GNOME hiding all the AI-gen reports from projects that prohibit AI is madness, they could just create a separated category/page for reports that are AI or they are not sure instead of just going with "we cannot tell, so we are not even going to try".
Honestly, this change has the smell of laziness.
Interesting changes on Firefox - Why do they include the PDF editor in the browser though? It could be an addon or even a separate application. Having it within the browser feels wrong, and I always disable it.
Because it is useful to a large amount of other people.
