Oh my god!
Modern building codes can’t even begin to comprehend the Los Angeles “Dingbat” apartment. Modern requirements say that “soft story” buildings are not safe in Earthquakes - yet some of these apartments still endure across Southern California.
How were they doing it 60 years ago? Where did these apartment blocks come from? What evidence remains of the methods used in construction?

I can’t recommend this enough. I have been using LibreOffice for a few years and saved myself a lot of money.
Saved even more money a few months ago when I fully switched my OS to open source and left the Microsoft/Apple walled gardens behind.

🇿🇦: “We’re going now.”
Me: (Gets ready quickly, stands around waiting 30 minutes for everyone else). “Are we leaving yet?”
🇿🇦: “Yes - sorry for the wait, we’re going right now.”
Me: (Waits another 15 minutes)
“Gene Roddenberry’s vision” was usually an upskirt shot.
