I think that it’s cool that AI is allowing people to prototype that, otherwise, never would have touched code - so props to you for that. But, if you no longer have your own voice on a public forum; Please touch some grass, my guy.

Took a look through the codebase and it seems like it could be but it’s hard to tell for sure. Some things that would lead me to believe it’s AI: - Emojis in the readme (specifically in a bulleted list, starting each sentence). - Big, highly descriptive, extremely consistent comment blocks for every main function. - The shear amount of files and code and the consistency of which it was written (this could also be due to golang’s style enforcement). If written by a person, they’re beyond OCD levels of organized.

With that being said; who cares if it was made with AI? If it was: it seems thoughtfully guided by someone and it probably works fine. And if it wasn’t: this dev is nuts and just breathes production level code, no matter the project complexity haha.

Do you want to actually have a rock solid (albeit, boring) computing experience? Mint or Debian (I know you said no Debian but everyone always come back to the big D eventually)

Do you want a neat flavor-of-the month distro that you’ll tinker with for a while and ultimately move on from? Void is pretty cool

Thanks for the answer; I certainly don’t want to send any money to Israel, if possible. Does anyone have any recommendations for alternatives? I just have two requirements: I need the connection uptime to be rock solid. I also need to be able to register and pay completely anonymously. I’m not that concerned about bandwidth.

Does that matter if they have none of my data? I mean, they could log unencrypted traffic but for web browsing you should be forcing https wherever possible, so traffic logs would be mostly irrelevant. No doubt, they can see what you torrent but I can’t imagine it matters that much if they have no data about you. They could certainly build a fingerprint based on torrents and unencrypted traffic but I feel like it may be too weak to be relevant. Maybe people worry about using the official clients? But you don’t need to use them either, you can just establish a raw OpenVPN tunnel.

Been using PIA for over a decade now. I started with them by paying with a random gift card I had laying around (Walmart maybe?) and have been paying with crypto ever since. They’ve never asked for any personal details (used a burner email address) and the service has been solid the entire time. Clients on Windows and Linux both work great and are open source with pretty decent documentation. In short, sometimes I want to reliably remain anonymous online and it has worked out well for me.

I know that a lot of people here hate on PIA but I haven’t seen any justification. So if anyone here knows why I shouldn’t be using the service, I’d love to hear about it; I’d be happy to switch to something else if it works at least as well.

Songs for the Deaf - Queens of the Stone Age

In my opinion, it’s one of the most solid albums ever, start-to-finish - the kind of album that’s great on tape.

Radball is what you’re looking for. It’s soccer on fixed gear bicycles, you can only touch the ball with your bike (except the goalie), and you can’t let your feet touch the ground.

Yeah, the first one on the 360 was called Earth Defense Force 2017 (actually the 3rd game in the series). I’ve played a bunch of EDF 2017 and 2025 and they are so fun. I’m glad they’re still making them; those games are so over-the-top. If you don’t care about graphics and just want something fun, I highly recommend.

Earth Defense Force is a terrible looking game with an even worse premise and is fun as hell.
