Here’s a link, but the details are very vague. They are a deus ex machina.
The primary mode of communication within the community was TML or the traveler mailing list, which went on for more than 20 years.
As a former writer for 2020 I can say that the idea for exotics came from other source material and not the furry “culture” as it were.
This is one of the many reasons why the lab ship design makes no sense.
Although I think there are some huge landmines in the road to this product, I also think it could bring a lot of people into the Traveller universe, and that could be very positive. Actually I believe that’s the main reason they’re doing it.

Great options and UX but the printing options are a little wonky.
Ready for Monday
Starting a new Traveller Series is always exciting, and a bit nerve wracking for the GM.

Simplifying the Skills list for my new CT Series. What do you think?
Starting a new series... Errant Heroes

Mongoose Traveller 1e, more cohesive?
As someone who has developed RPGs in the past I find that Mongoose Traveller 1e seems more cohesive. Maybe it is the expansion of the setting and additional options, or maybe that there seem to be new systems or mechanics constantly being added. Mongoose 2e seems too unmanageable. Is it just me?

I would like to wish a joyous Holiday to all sophonts across Charted Space and best wishes for a prosperous year!
Beginning probably tomorrow (12/2/2025) we will be migrating our image hosting to object storage
Just an FYI, as part of our migration off of our current host, it’s become apparent that we’re going to need to migrate our image hosting to object storage.

Traveller Ship Builder - Professional RPG Starship Designer (traveller-ship-builder.netlify.app)
There is a new Ship Builder in Traveller Tools at Mongoose. There are some issues, but it’s a great start.
Technology & Progression
One if the issues with Traveller’s technology system is the lack of efficiency and progression. As an example, Vacc suits in Traveller rarely get lighter, less expensive, or add additional features. This true of pretty much all components, equipment, and weapons. There is no systematic way to reduce cost, weight, or manufacturing time. There is no benefit to additional capabilities and if there are they are always more expensive.
