Also a classic for a failed perception check, particularly when there is no trap: “You don’t see the trap”.
I actually backed their Kickstarter, and after several years of delay received 2 d20s. I ordered mine with opaque surfaces so the light only shines through the numbers. The app has no payment or subscription, but allows you to customise the lights to be different depending on what you roll (like a crit or a nat 1 for example). They were also supposed to connect to roll20 but i don’t think that ever rolled out. They also work without charge because the numbers remain visible, even when not illuminated.
All said, expensive shiny dice are very shiny, not worth the time/money, but very shiny.
