(Jennifer Connelly, Requiem For A Dream, etc.)

Got couple of hand me downs from work at the end of the lease cycle - 7th gen i7 HP mini desktop and 8th gen i7 EliteBook x360, for nominal price (so they could show them as “sold” in the books). I did run Win 11 on the laptop for a while (since it is officially supported), then converted both to Linux (Debian Stable, laptop with KDE, desktop with XFCE since it is a “home server”). With Linux, they run faster and cooler than they ever did on Win10/11. I don’t think I will be looking into any upgrades or hardware refresh for at least 5 years, if not longer.

If Lordi and Konchita Wurst could win, I see no reason Angine De Poitrine couldn’t either.

I guess that’s the next natural step on their path to the outright fascism.

I am still hopeful that we are just a couple of malicious lines of code away from rendering this whole AI abomination inoperable, or at least so heavily crippled with various security measures that it is practically unusable. One can dream, I guess …..

“Sure, some people might have lost their jobs, but hey, you still have yours - so rejoice! Loosen up, have some fun!”

She is just saying the quiet part loud: tech bros rule the country now and everything else is just a window dressing.

As a lifetime sufferer of the Microsoft way of doing business, I had so much hope when Google started its ascent back in the early 2000’s. Alas…..

As I get older, I am finding I am becoming more interested in the quality and quantity of my coffee than my booze.

The best part of Hegseth’s appearances is his unshakable overconfidence. He truly stands behind every dumb utterance he makes like it is gospel.
