@PugJesus I once told a Transformers fan about how the Autobots represented the communism of the UAW, luring us in with a flag-colored big rig and a voice like John Wayne, but making him a "commander" (authoritarian) while demonizing the "leader" (choice) of the opposition. She hung up on me. I thought we had been disconnected, so it happened twice more before I realized it was deliberate. Then she told me that some of her friends consider themselves to *be* TFs, and I was insulting them.
