What in the world data would they get? Granted I haven’t played in over a decade but I don’t see any potential source of data. Most communication was done through third party programs and websites.

Maybe tracking the prices of everything on each planet and trying to use that for real world financial predictions but holy shit will that inaccurate.

To what benefit I wonder

I guess this is to fund another game that no one will play… How much have they spent on trying to make other games instead of making EVE?
