I’m playing it on Linux Mint, and it was stalling and crashing right after pressing enter in the start screen. I switched to Proton 11.0 (Beta) and it solved the problem. Just for anyone who may have the same issue.
Saw it today and was quite surprised it’s already for sale for less than $20.
Seems like a great deal, but I can’t even afford that right now lol.
Top tier game. You’re just slashing up hoardes of baddies, then BOOM, you discover you have a ground slam ability.

For anyone interested it has kernel level anticheats, even if you will be playing solo.
Does it? Arg, didn’t know about that one when I got it. AARRGG! A friend convinced me to get it as our next coop game, so I broke my “no online-only” rule :/
Great game. You’re just running around slashing and shooting alien hordes, then BAM! You discover that you have a ground slam ability.
I like you can play co-op missions as the other squads that Titus sends out during the campaign.

No, you do not need to play the first game to play Space Marine 2.
I completed Space Marine 2 campaign. I spent only 10 minutes in the first game to see if it runs on the Steam Deck. It does.
