Am I the only one freaked out by this? Like.. it’s a single player game, how tf do you know how old I am when I play FF7R?
The fuck is a Circana? This must be one of those “ope you play the game you accept we extract all your data uwu”. Even then tho you kinda have to collect a shit ton of data (more than a game has any right to) to be able to guess (or even know) the users age.
Also also, who cares? This data kinda makes sense. When you experience FF7 as a kid, really enjoy it, then come back to the remake because nostalgia, chances are, you’re gonna be in the grandpa age bracket.
Circana is a market reaserch company previously known as NPD Group. With the power of surveys and statistics it’s not necessary to surveil entire gamer population to get reasonably accurate data on consumer demographics.
I think a good start would be making a good game more often would help a lot. They don’t need to be giant 3d games either. I think most older fans would still say X, VII, or VI are their favorites. They all also happen to be turn based (in some form).
