BREAKING: ICE Is Using GPS Ankle Monitors to Prepare a Mass Roundup of 350,000 Haitian Refugees

The letters arrived with almost no warning.

Haitian families who fled a country consumed by violence and natural disaster, built lives here under a humanitarian program that let them live and work legally for years — and then watched that program get eliminated by the Trump administration — opened their mailboxes to a letter ordering them to report to an Immigration and Customs Enforcement field office for a mandatory “in-person check-in.”

The letter doesn’t say anything about leaving the appointment with an ankle bracelet bolted on, reporting their every move from then on out back to ICE.

But that is exactly what has awaited them at these mandatory appointments.

If the gov can send these people a letter, they are not the murders and rapists the gov claimed to be removing

Republicans think they’re all filthy people regardless of anything they did or didn’t do. They think that the Biden-Obama-Soros-communist cabal deliberately let these “filthy” people in to destroy our whiteness and cause chaos and bloodshed, and Trump is just setting things right by booting them out by any means necessary.

We’re dealing with violent fanatics, not timid liars. Calling them out on their lies doesn’t do anything, not anymore.

Word. Please accept my up-vote.

To the administration, their real crime is being Untermensch.

A copy of one such call-in letter that Haitians are receiving.

The cruelty is the point.

Tell me where to go with a critical mass of armed people willing to revolt and I’ll be there. I have tried organizing it myself and have failed.

Yeah, it’s almost like you should get off your cowardly asses and do something. You’re way past the point of getting sympathy from the rest of the world- you’re complicit at this point.

Talking to an inactive American and an inactive non American is very similar. I’m saying this so you can hopefully understand the frustration. You have your own and I get that. But, when I try to get people to organize here I often get the same replies.

  • I didn’t vote for this
  • No one I know cares
  • Protesting/organizing doesn’t change things

Now, what I will say in response is different. So I’ll change here for non Americans. But, your inaction is also complacency (if you’re in a state that is allied with America).

If you’re not American - YOU CAN STILL HELP! YOU can organize for measures against the US and Israel from your own country. That helps those of us in America that are actually organizing resistance.

Its so fucking frustrating as someone working every day to stop this shit having to deal with the same inactive useless criticism from both Americans that “didn’t vote for this” and then also get the same useless inactive non Americans repeating the same “not my problem” bullshit.

If you care about a problem. Do something. Stop pretending there is nothing you can do because “I didn’t vote for him”.

I didn’t either. But I don’t make it my whole identity go justify doing nothing.

Edit: This is largely directed at Europeans that cry about this over and over not realizing that they would be the same inactive useless liberals saying “I didn’t vote for him” if they lived in America.

Very well said. I’d love to know what actions non Americans have taken other than pound out quickly written accusations on their keyboards. Could even argue some of them have a greater potential influence than some of us do.

Thanks. I don’t know if it’s helpful in changing their minds. But, I’m just exhausted; and tired of people grandstanding on their own uselessness.

The West will never forgive Haiti for freeing itself from slavery

It’s like being a heartless enslaver is in their cultural DNA or something…

Serious question: I live in a small farming town of only a few thousand people. Mostly white people unfortunately. I keep nontraditional waking hours. I work second shift. I don’t have money to really do anything serious.

Is there anything I can do, beyond spreading the word (which I am already doing), to help?

This is now a generational fight. None of us can do anything today or tomorrow that affects immigration wholesale. The pendulum is still swinging. We can just get through this and hope that after 5, 10 years of suffering, after seeing the effects of this play out, and most importantly once xenophobia is passé again, it will be the time to act. So now is the time for seed gathering, for building, for long-term community building projects and for nurturing those around you.
