I like to think I’m generally pragmatic, but we all have our weaknesses.

I think the value in being pragmatic is being able to pick apart the nuance of a situation. Especially ones that you are personally involved in.

It’s not easy to realize how you contributed to your own negative situation, and I have the greatest respect for people who can admit that they were wrong.

I am exactly pragmatic enough to know that I am not truly pragmatic.

For personal, trivial things when I have something I like I will keep it that way until it falls apart or becomes ridiculously outmoded. I do not pretend there is logic to them.

I tend to like the simplest things for daily use objects but that’s not “pragmatism,” it’s preference. Even when something nicer is available, lol. I waited until my phone was freezing when opening a calculator AND it would no longer charge to upgrade it, even though it was likely justified a year and a half before that.

That’s a logical answer. I consider myself pretty pragmatic on most things but I’m the same as you with objects I use.

mmmm. I mean its pragmatic to use something if it meets your needs and not buy a new one that does not increase your productivity or something enough in relation to its costs.

I’m a pragmatic idealist. I want things to be better, and I fight for them to be better, but also I live in the real world, not the world I want to see built.

this feels like I work. I am generally liberal/left politically but im conservative in my basic life. Well financial wise and real conservative not fake bs. I dress as I please and do what I want and such though I compromise for work or occasions or whatever. I am increasingly unwilling to compromise with how I dress and behave though with whats going on in the world. sorta eff it thing.

I think I’m generally pragmatic; it has been a benefit in my career.

I value pragmatism since it means that actual change that benefits people can be implemented over holding out for a perfection that may never come. That said, I’m willing to tolerate some tradeoffs because I will evaluate change against the system functioning as is and some people don’t like it if they don’t like the dysfunctional part but the cost of correcting it is worse.
