Seems like a pretty important detail to leave out of the headline
Well they realised that all the promised mountains of gold aren’t made of gold after all
There was an interview with a guy who went back and he was like “we were told that in Spain the government will give us everything we think of”
Sounds like someone was trying to cause instability in Spain by promising a bunch of people the world so they’d migrate.
Tbh, I’m kind of impressed by the reaction of the police and military. I know it’s not popular to make this statement in Spain at the moment, only criticisms allowed.
But imagine if 60k people suddenly try to invade your small city (population ~80k). And while you mess up initially and they all get in, you manage to get most of them out within 24h. Without shooting to kill. It deserves some recognition.
