Well, yeah. He knows what’s going to happen to him as soon as Republicans lose control of Congress.
I’m not sure he’s worried about that at all, though I hope it’s the case he should be. I think it more likely he wants less cameras around when he does Nazi salutes.

He never said he’d stop. He did say he’d take a step back…. He did for a month and now he’s back on it like ketamine.

He said that because he thought his involvement in politics had cost him money. It damaged Tesla’s brand image and hurt its sales. He thought that this could cause his wealth to decrease. That Tesla’s share price would go down. That the markets would punish him for his folly.
It did not.
He has instead found himself richly rewarded for it.
Well, he doesn’t get involved in politics anymore. His money however is an entirely different thing alltogether. Now, he’s just like any other billionaire in this aspect.
Spend? No.
Invest.
“Trump said” “Elon said” these people chain-post endlessly. At the end of the day, they have less recollection of what they posted than a TikTok addict of what they scrolled through.
