It is a three part docuseries about a Sociology Teacher in a little town in Tennessee. For 7 years he has used a cold serial killer case called the Red Head Murders to teach critical thinking and problem solving to his students.
The series follows the 2025 class and the work they do is just incredible. The teacher is one of those superhero teachers students are either lucky enough to have or really wish they had.
The stuff the students do is just incredible. They dissected the case, the used really creative marketing to rekindle the case and they pulled in information and connect evidence that no one else had, also most importantly their work got the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation moving.
Not only is the teacher engaging so are many of this students, one of them is a foster kid, one of them is dealing with her own mother’s murder and one of them who at the start of the year is a total wallflower, becomes an international celebrity by the end of the year.
I rewatched the first season of Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell yesterday, just as good as the first 4 times. I’ll probably rewatch the rest of it this weekend.
Casper Kelly is just a fantastic writer/director (you probably know him from Too Many Cooks). Excited for his new movie Buddy next month.
The new Ghost In The Shell adaptation is pretty good. I haven’t read the manga but it’s supposed to be much more faithful to the original work than all the past screen adaptations.
Silo S3. I honestly don’t really enjoy it that much anymore, but I’m powering through it just because I want to see it through.
House of the Dragon S3. It’s ok, definitely better than S2 at least. It’s funny how they use Harrenhall as purgatory to stash characters they don’t have any use for until they’re needed.
I just started the second season of the Netflix live action adaptation of Avatar. The kid has grown so much since Season 1 that they directly acknowledged it in one of the opening lines of dialogue lol

Just watched Episode 1 of “New Zealand Spy” on ABC iView in Australia and it’s an absolute ripper with nods all over the place. Very funny!
