Pedal cages on a cargo bike?
submitted by
I’m a new electric cargo bike owner. My acoustic bike has pedal cages, and strangely not having them is one of the things that I’m struggling with. Has anyone put them on a cargo bike? It seems strange replace my nice new pedals, but I’m so used to using them to “prep for take off”.

Honestly just do what you’re comfortable with. Replacing pedals takes about as much time as creating this post would have, if you’re more comfortable with toe cages then throw them on.
The most important thing - enjoy yourself and be comfortable.
I’m not sure it will for me - you have more faith in my skills than I do :)
YouTube is a trove of knowledge. All you need is a spanner 👍

sorry, what’s a pedal cage? and acoustic bike?
Acoustic bike just means a regular ol’ bike- non-electric. Pedal cages are the things you can slip your feet into instead of an open pedal design
