Why else would the paper disparage the dead rabbit as lazy and not write about a tragic a racing accident? Iāll tell you why. They didnāt know Harry is dead yet.
Mom knows junior has done murder, but obviously not perfectly given that crap suicide note which voids the policy, gets kiddo convicted, or both. She has a choice: continue to be poor, now as a single mother with a kid in juvy for Murder 1 and attempted insurance fraud. She knows social services will be all over her ass for the rest of her days.
Or she can get a carpet and make sure the body isnāt found until the heat is off and no one can pin the crime on her kid. Whatās done is done. And she deserves a break. Its not wrong if its already done and she deserves a break, right?
I think mom chose option 2.

Suicide is not generally covered in the first two years of a life insurance policy but it is covered after that. This two-year period is known as a suicide clause.
If a suicide happens more than two years after getting a life insurance policy, the life insurance policy will pay out death benefit to the policy beneficiaries.
It actually is though, at least after a set amount of time, usually 2 years. I do wonder how often that kind of system might have actually saved lives.
IE in my case I donāt think I even followed through with getting insurance, but after my fiance of 14 years dropped me with no warning. I actually came pretty darn close, and I actually came pretty close to getting a life insurance policy and just gritting through the 2 years to leave my son andā¦ even the ex with something.
Again I didnāt get the policy, but quite simply that possibility gave me something to push forward for a couple of years, after which a whole lot changed, my mental attitude improved massively, I got a much better girlfriend, I got a house, my son moved in with me. I would say even the possible thought of the life insurance, probably helped give me a āwell I only need to push through long enough to get the insurance and run out the clockā.
Also though further detail within this comic, something like this concept would be harder to rule as a suicide, using an existing medical condition.
I was denied life insurance while nowhere close to suicidal because of my history of therapy related to adhd. Too big a risk apparently.
