In the show, his character even talks about this. He says that after being bitten, the spider instincts took over and he had to learn to be human again. He did this by watching films.

He should have been playing Spiders-Man then.

Reminds me of his character’s dad joke from Kick-Ass:

“Kick-Ass? More like Ass Kicked!” supremely goofy dad laugh

That’s the name of the legally distinct hero in Times Square

Oh no, Spiders-Man is a real Marvel character and I love them.

They are “A hive-mind of thousands of spiders with the memories of Peter Parker.” I’m so glad that sentence exists.

Fine! “Spider: The-Man”

Also, that’s an incredible sentence

He’s fucking nuts on so many levels, but honestly he’s one of the few hero’s this year hasn’t taken from me.

If you remove John Travolta from Face/Off, it’s still a compelling movie. Doesn’t work the other way…

Personally I want to do that thing where they replaced everyone in random movies with Cage to replace Travolta with Cage.

My identical twin runs a criminal empire so I’m going to surgically graft his face to my face to infiltrate and dismantle it but hopefully not lose my identity and become him that is me, who is not me in the process.

It wouldn’t even be outside of something he’d actually do.

First of all, don’t say I went as Spider-Man. I didn’t go as Spider-Man. I was Man-Spider. Totally different.

Am I the only one that liked it but still felt like something was off and that it could have been way better?

Cage was great, was hoping for more detective mystery instead of focusing on him being so rusty

I agree. My biggest gripe is that the pacing of the dialogue consistently feels off

Watch him eating a hot dog, he’s tearing at with his fingers like a spider prepping and eating it’s prey.

It’s even more nic cage because the character is obviously heavily stylized, but I would never say that it’s like a spider trying to be a person.

I have no interest in superhero stuff… but I’ll definitely watch Nic Cage Piderman.

There’s a show released from a few months ago called Spider Noir that is exactly this.

..yiss… that’s the subject of the thread hahaha
