Another wild NK story was there were these girls that were approached by someone asking for them to host a prank show on YouTube or something. They had them pull 4 or 5 harmless silly pranks on people where they sometimes sprayed people with like a fart spray or something. It was going well and the girls were excited to make some money. Then on one of the pranks this dude starts freaking out and calling for authorities saying he was a high profile figure. It turned out that dude was Kim Jon Uns half brother or something and NK used those girls to unknowingly be assassins. He had been sprayed with a nerve agent and later died. I believe the girls were acquitted for not knowing what was happening.

I know I’m thinking about it simplistically but the Trump family dynasty and their hangers-on have a lot of wealth that’s just figures in digital ledgers, right? What’s to stop someone on a computer from just wiping that away? Realistically, if you were able to put all their accounts at zero, what recourse would they have? I guess I just don’t understand modern banking.
If you zero out their balance but there’s no transaction, that doesn’t match up and will easily be reverted. If you make a fake transaction that is also easy to dispute and revert. Most digital things have backups or histories where you can compare and clearly see if some funny business occurred. That’s why most scams involve social engineering to convince the target to willingly transfer money in some method that can’t be easily reverted rather than editing databases.
Yeah, plenty of countries can (and do) have flaws. That doesn’t mean that every single person in those countries is a criminal, of course.
Even now, the US is nowhere near the bottom of the ladder, many worse countries out there. The problem is, the US acts like they are still a shining city on a hill or whatever they use. Not even close. They aren’t even reliable now, which one of the things China has going on for them.

Tankies unironically say that US attacking Iran is US starving Philippines because the latter has no oil reserves to draw upon because of oil shipment being restricted in Strait of Hormuz. The US is starving the Philippines (not intentionally but with complete disregard) and the Chinese are kicking away the Filipino fishermen and as a bonus they are claiming Batanes Island in the North and sending monkey memes about Filipinos. Both can AND are true. Philippines is really the butt of the joke of the world Geopolitically and environmentally.
The reason there’s so much pro-NK propaganda is because NK is being propped up by China. They’re the biggest trading partner. China could exert pressure or influence to get the NK government to be better to its citizens. But China doesn’t want that, because that might convince Chinese citizens to demand the same.
So their only recourse is to convince everyone that North Korea actually isn’t that bad and it’s actually all just western propaganda telling you that it’s bad and if they are bad it’s actually because of western sanctions.
That and China is more than happy to have a malleable weak state on its border vs the alternative of a unified Korea that is much more pro-Western.
Obviously, she chose to remain there after catching a whiff of one of Kim Il Sung’s farts on the breeze.
