Is this your project?

I recently discovered an alternative to Google Docs called Ellipsus, and their anti-AI policy is pretty inspiring. Worth looking at. Service is freemium.

Yes it is, I’ve emailed them asking if they would like to be included on the website. Thank you!

… For these reasons, we will never integrate or use generative AI within Ellipsus.

https://ellipsus.com/generative-ai

Yes, that’s the page I meant. My wife hates AI (trying to get her to join Lemmy and subscribe to this comm). I sent her this link.

What I really want is a no AI index for investing in companies that don’t use AI.

Companies such as this are welcome to submit / add their info to noailist.org

If you find one, please let us know

ironic that this website uses ghost, which is classified as “shitty” on the ai dirty list.

leaves a bit of a bad taste for the project

Any sources could help direct the future of the project

could you specify what exactly you mean by that? i don’t understand your reply, sorry about that

Sure, ghost may be listed as dirty on that website, but there are no links to actual evidence, despite it being listed as cited, if there are credible citations I would consider building this project away from ghost.

Soooo, if there are no sources for it why is it labeled dirty? Can I just go in and label everything in existence as dirty and then it’s on others to make the effort to defend it?

Is telling new hires they will get access to the latest AI tools acceptable as evidence? “💻 Hardware A brand new MacBook Pro + a budget for office setup and the latest AI tools.”

https://careers.ghost.org/staff-product-engineer/en This is the first entry for Ghost.

I also thought their weren’t sources on that site a few days ago.

Click on “view citation” now click on the very small text up next to or just below the date. Its not very obvious.

The view citation has no supporting evidence.

Let’s take Ghost as an example. Click on the first entry’s “view citation” button. Now click on the red circle as shown in the picture.

Build it with Fable 🤷‍♂️

I can’t find the dirty ai list, could you please link it here?

The zig language has a non-AI contribution policy: https://ziglang.org/code-of-conduct/

Thank you, I have emailed them (hopefully I have the email correct) to request permission to be included.

I’m surprised that nobody has linked this here: https://codeberg.org/ethical-foss/open-slopware

It’s over-eager to label as slop in places but provides sources and often AI-free alternatives.

This was very very helpful, thank you, I’ve added all the AI-free alternatives.

This website is hard to understand. I see no lists, there is a search box. I don’t see categories to choose. It feels very empty.

Thank you for your feedback, the reason why is because it was launched today, new categories and projects will be listed as they arrive. So yes, it is brand new.

You can preload content from the other no-AI lists.

There’s one on codeberg called slop free

If you have a project, or know a project that has publicly chosen not to use AI, please share it here.
(Software, Artists, Bands, Games, Business, Organization, etc).

Why build the website before you’ve got anything to put on it? This is weird. It feels like low-effort “capitalization” on the anti-AI bandwagon.

I built this partly because I saw nobody else started the project. I’ve only recently myself decided to stop using AI, so its not some kind of capitalization. Sometimes starting a project is the hardest part. It is a brand new project, so there are hardly any listings. In order for a project like this to grow, it needs to be shared on the web, hence this posting. I’d be happy to hear anywhere else I can post it, or any feedback on how to improve the project.

The hardest part of a new project is getting data to put on it, and make it worth using, in my experience… It’s one of those catch-22 where people only use it if people already are using it. I’d recommend focusing on getting a lot of content added as quickly as possible.

I respect asking permission for companies to be listed there, but it’s a very slow process, and many will never reply.

I thought about adding projects without asking for permission, but it doesn’t seem right, they might not agree with all the reasons why a project might not use ai listed on the website too.

Site wants to run javascript from 5 different domains and doesnt work with just the site domain permitted.

Great extension that

What is the content of your website licensed as?

People will be much more willing to contribute if you add the licensing info in the footer.

I recommend CC BY-SA. It’s what Wikipedia uses.

Ok, I will try to add that on there, thank you.

noailogo

I wanted an AI free logo, so I hired a freelancer.

I’m 99% sure the logo they gave me was AI. It didn’t even occur to me that artists would be using AI :/

Let me know the specifics of your AI free logo, and I’ll see what I can come up with.

I’d demand the design file they used as well.

That would require me to use Illustrator. I only use inkscape

You can get a lot of projects from https://aidirtylist.info/entities/rating-desc/1/ although I’ve seen some pretty bad takes. Example: people who like an anti-ai book love ai, according to the dirty list.

Interesting website, I’ll take a look, thanks

Nice resource for people who want alternatives.
