Brexit means Brexit!
It would not be in the European interest to harm European firms that still manufacture in the UK. But those firms can move their production to Europe, especially since they’re downscaling anyway.
The firms listed in the article seem to be European firms with British assets. They should not get subsidies. Britain does not contribute to them. They have eu27 based assets that they can ramp up. It is in European interests to exert pressure on these firms to have manufacturing and assembly in the eu27. It is in the firms interest to make more profit. The EU should not carve out an exemption.
