Derik Shaw, a local resident, voiced concerns about the decision to confront the vehicle in the parking lot.
“They are supposed to trail her home… get her tag number,” Shaw said. “Like they said — stop chasing people.”

Its shoplifting. No one’s life should be on the line. We have created a society where you totally can steal an entire cart of fucking groceries and no one dies in the winter due to the looting. Guns should never come out when investigating a fucking shoplifting where nobody was injured. Its not a fucken violent crime.
This is insane.
Guns out because of shoplifting?
A baby. The officer killed a baby.
They were one years old, that’s not just a child. It’s a baby.
Whoever called the pigs in the first place deserves to get violent colon cancer.
Probably just some near minimum wage manager trying to do their job :/
“trying to do their job” is a pitiful excuse.
It is a choice to have solidarity and with your fellow working-class and look the other way instead of protecting the profit of some company.
They can’t prove you saw anything.
And what are you so afraid of to begin with? Ending up just like that individual who has to steal to make ends meet, hoping that those just like you will turn their cheek so you can have a chance to survive? Be that person for them, because one day you might be in their shoes. That’s the point of working class solidarity.
I will assume you’re young and haven’t had much responsibility to carry
Wait until you are a manager and have to explain why theft is now so high, endangering your job which you rely on to feed your kids, then we’ll talk again
You talk like life is so easy
Way to completely miss the point of solidarity.
You talk like everyone who has lived through revolutionary times didn’t also have to face those same challenges.
No one said resistance was easy. We are saying it is necessary.
Sure! So everyone should just constantly risk their future, the lives of their children, because you want a revolution. Was that the point?
Like I said, you must be young and sheltered, and lead an easy life with little care in the world because you don’t know what you’re talking about
And again you miss the point.
Be gone with you if you have not even an inkling of class consciousness and solidarity with your fellow oppressed.
Walmart has very strong loss prevention. Even from a boot licking management position, there was no need to call the cops.
And now a kid is dead.
