A netsuke is a small container that’s fastened onto the clothes for ornamental purposes.

Yes, you said that in your posting, but the link you put in the comments has no mention of netsuke. It just says “Pigeon Shaped Box”. I wasn’t trying to say you’re wrong, or wondering what netsuke is/was, I just asking where that description came from.
