Made something a few months ago and put it on Amazon. Have different variations of covers and two sizes (50 and 100 pages, for 25 and 50 observation nights). Looking for options on the concept, contents (you can view the interior pages for their layout on the Amazon page).
I’ve noticed several people with bent nibs that needed to straighten them… Thought I might mention these Igarashi Plyer IPS SH-165S pliers as they might be useful with their nylon lining which shouldn’t mark up the metal. I learned about these back when I was messing around with keyboard switches…
Maybe this is inappropriate, but I’ve been working on a fun story maybe someone might enjoy. It’s paranormal and a little ridiculous. It’s about an overly cocky Esper that tries to return from the afterlife. A resurrection kind of thing.
Any critiques about the story would be cool. Even if it’s harsh. I’m trying to learn.
Looks like Amazon now has the regular LTR bundles for $65. With this foil copy of The One Ring going for ~$45 on TCG Player that’s roughly $20 for 8 set boosters, some lands, the die, and storage box which isn’t too bad. The price of The One Ring should probably drop with this but still seems pretty good!
Hello! I bought this enclosure to install a sprinkler timer. It comes with a GFCI outlet, and where I want to install it is next to another GFCI outlet mounted in the wall (outdoors). I thought it would look better to run some wires in the wall, off the GFCI, and into the back of the box so I don’t see the power cable on the outside of the house. What is the correct way to run that wire through the wall?
For those who don’t know yet, Kindle Rewards is a rewards program on amazon.com that rewards you for buying books. It’s for both US and international customers, but you can only get into the beta if Amazon chooses you. It was launched last year.
If anybody is interested, Amazon seems to be running a sale on my wife’s Science Fiction novels right now! I’d tell you how great they are, but I’m probably biased.
I thought this group might be interested. My wife happens to be a budding Science Fiction writer. We’ve been hitting up a lot of cons to help sell her books and get her name out there. If you want to check out her book, please do so.
*Pride & Prejudice* meet *Persuasion* meet *Horatio Hornblower*, slightly too long and slightly failing on “Show, don’t tell” rule, but otherwise obviously professionally written thing and the tension is really high and adventure dramatic. Highly recommended.
The premise of the show is that there is a criminal trial where all of the jurors, the judge, the bailiff, and the case are all fake except for one of the jurors. I usually don’t go in for reality shows, but this was something different. I think Nathan for You fans would really enjoy this show. Created by the same people as The Office, it really feels like a more realistic version of that show.
I ordered a box years ago out of curiosity and they’’re actually pretty good. I’m thinking about buying a few boxes for a marathon of the series in the lead up to the remake.
They’re cheap, poor-fidelity, horrible propagation radios with handfuls of bugs (the one I bought years ago has a lot of trouble with frequency bleed).
I’m currently unhappy with the glass-break sensors that are available commercially. I won’t rehash my complaints here, you’ve probably all heard them before. I was brainstorming with a friend and not coming up with anything better idea-wise though, and he suggested the conductive paint used for rear window defrosters on automobiles.
