O’Neill: “This guy really gets on my nerves. He keeps comparing me to a Captain Picard.”
Carter: “Who’s that?”
O’Neil: “I don’t know, he supposedly commanded the carrier Enterprise at one point but I can’t find any record of him.”
O’Neill is only familiar with classic Trek. You need to talk with Teal’c if you need someone who understands your nutrek references.
Did you just fucking call The Next Generation NuTrek??
this awful wave of nutrek started when they got rid of the enterprise’s captain and replaced him with this shatner guy. like really? the guy from that twilight zone episode?
Yeah, TNG/DS9/VOY/ENT

Slapped a mustache on Q. Good aim.
He made it with some scotch tape and pocket lint.
*MacGyver’d it
Picard never flushed me out an airlock!
Just a punch? Q’s lucky he didn’t get the full False God treatment plan.
I would argue that Q doesn’t deserve to be treated as a false god. If anything, Q truly is a god, considering he actually is an omnipotent being and all.
Is he though? An inter-dimensional being with great powers: yes, definitely.
But an omnipotent god? We’ve seen them die, kill each other, grown complacent and bored, and in need of help from a mere human to find their way out of a civil war. Personally I don’t consider them gods, just as we aren’t gods even though an ant might think otherwise.
Or, to quote Quinn:
I don’t think Q ever said he was a god. It was always someone else saying he is iirc. So the false God treatment would’ve not worked. More of a egotistical asshole treatment.
