Hey! I live 4 min from here.. they already decimated the beautiful forests that used to surround this area. And they already build dozens of horrible data centers all around. Fuck the politicians around here.

I still don’t understand why they have to go off and destroy forestlands when there’s plenty of unused agricultural farmland that isn’t producing jack shit.

2100 acres

you could feed several cities with this area

But AI feeds the minds of the people and that is more important than communist ideals.

  • Typical AI PR spokesmen.

Those are some puny cities, 2k acres can feed like 10-20k people.

If I had that and the farm I’m in the alpha stage of developing I could feed from Virginia to New England w/ that kind of land.

2100 acres is insanely big!

This is kind of hilarious, the reason ended up being them putting the notices to close to each other temporally:

Several lawsuits followed, with the one that appears to have eventually collapsed the massive project hinging on an ironically small detail. The landmark mega project — roughly double New York’s Central Park’s size with city-sized power needs — collapsed in a domino effect after Virginia courts voided the county’s initial rezoning approval due to improper public notices. The newspaper notices publicizing the hearing at which the project was approved weren’t separated by at least 6 days, as mandated by state and local codes at that time, thereby invalidating the hearing and the resulting approval.

I go down to Manassas for class sometimes; GMU’s Sci-Tech campus is adjacent-to-if-not-surrounded-by a good half-dozen data centers. You can see them from I-66.

All because they tried to greedily rush this through because they knew no one would be for it. Lol get fucked.

Oh you know some heads are going to roll for botching a simple requirement like public notice not being done…
