i guess the release of the new hardware is just around the corner:
- Initial support for upcoming Steam Machine hardware
Damn dude, KDE Plasma 6.4.3 came out nearly a year ago.
Will we need to wait another year for Bigscreen mode in 6.7 that came out recently?
That’s a long time to wait for a Arch-based distro that gets near instantaneous releases btw.

Probably. Desktop mode isn’t their focus. It’s a bit ridiculous because they said they switched from Debian to Arch to move faster but it is what it is. At least the KDE apps come from Flathub and are the latest versions.
Does it bring a new BIOS? My Steam deck still has a BIOS from 2024…
Edit: ah, nice!
Includes Steam Deck LCD BIOS v133
- Security updates
- Added “Memory Power Down” setup option
- Preliminary support for hibernation
Final hours of my absolute mess of a desktop in constant use for three years with piles of manual customization is at hand…
…But hey, I can wake the Deck with my keyboard again!
KDE Plasma updated to version 6.4.3 from 6.2.5
Why are they updating to an outdated version?
It’s probably what they started testing and have now concluded to be “ok”, even if newer versions have been released. You can’t drop your tests and start over just because new versions keep getting released.
As of this morning, every time I try to launch Helldivers 2, it immediately stops launching after loading and cuts out. I wonder if this is why?
Helldivers 2 broke Linux with an update. You have to use Proton experimental for it to work again.
