And another thing where Wars wins is the music. Star Trek has some memorable music but Star Wars is iconic.

Also the theme from Robocop 2 is almost the same as the theme for Star Trek 4.

If its dripping all the time you should see a doctor.

Hooray for not-bullshit!

Also, fuck you HDMI Consortium, if you are reading this.

Created the Intel 4004, led development of the 8080.

Invented the Zilog z80, got fucked over by financiers, then invented the laptop touchpad, almost got fucked over by Logitech, lived happily ever after.

Also invented the gate aligned Metal Oxide Semiconductor. Legend of computer engineering.

When will young sherlock get to fight young Indiana Jones? Or will they team up to solve mysteries?

They are pointing out in this article that the way that the problem is devised for the computer makes it basically already solved. The quantum computer get a list of all the factors and, after a bunch of hand waving, picks one. Something a vic20 an abacus and a dog can all do too.

Some people would stand for that sort of thing but frankly I can’t imagine why….

I had one of these circa 2003 or 2004. It had the form factor of a giant SNES controller and th screen flipped up out of the middle.

I want to say that mine only claimed 99 games.

This article is pretty disingenuous. I would have expected CNBC to actually bring up economic factors at play besides just inflation.

For instance, tarrifs on imported goods raising the price of food packaging, rising fuel costs that have almost doubled the freight cost in just the last 12 months and also most importantly, the blatant gouging that the 4 food producing conglomerates have been perpetuating on consumers since 2022.

1 company makes all the crackers, all the crackers are expensive. All the chicken produced goes through 2 companies, what incentive do they ever have to lower prices again. Just double the cost, sell half as much but also cut production cost in half and suddenly you are making a bigger profit than before. Poor people can’t afford to buy anything you make anymore? Oh well, line is going up!

This is pretty neat. If they can keep up with updatea this could be a pretty nice alternative to fedora workstation.

Blu ray discs cost pennies to manufacture, especially at scale.

Also, Sony owns the blu ray IP.

Also also, if they gave a fuck they could just ship 2 discs in a box. Like they did at the tail end of the xbox 360 days.

They’d just rather not deal with it anymore.

You are the insignificant piece of Dust!

I agree from the standpoint of research for research sake is still worth doing but anyone telling you that they have a working quantum computer that is just around the corner from working is most likely grifting.

The actual data at this point.

It sounds crazy in 2026 but check your local library.

Most mature superhero movie sounds kind of like saying world’s fastest turtle to me….

He got it because it was the fastsest car in the world at the time and he wanted the “best” regardless of anything else.

Say what you want about Cleveland but they have an awesome newpaper.

ghost rider

Makes sense that ghost rider would be horny for a skellington.

I prefer trek and its not even close but the Star Wars music is just better.

Also, I love Its Been a Long Road, but never got into Enterprise that much.
