It’s not copyright infringement to digitize your DVDs for personal use, you’re just not allowed to distribute them
Today I saw someone on my morning walk, he said hi, I said hi back, and then he reacted like I hadn’t responded and got pissed off at me ("I guess its NOT a good morning, then!"). Every single human interaction outside my intimate circle makes me feel horrible. This guy just chose not to hold up his part of the bargain. It’s like he chose to react badly, no matter what I actually did.
…. so, you’re gay.
You do probably have vaginismus. But what nobody is going to tell you is that it’s fine. You don’t have to put anything up there ever.
If you think I’m being sarcastic about the “gay” comment, you’re brainwashed by the patriarchy
I think you’re probably equally intelligent unfortunately
I think this is misguided and a bit too optimistic. Racist cops don’t become racist because of their lived experiences, they’re already racist when they take the job.
I said our grandparents used to treat each other and their peers well, by disagreeing with each other gracefully. There was no mention of abuse in my post at all. I wasn’t talking about my grandparents specifically, I was talking about “our” grandparents, collectively.
I didn’t mention an abusive domestic relationship anywhere in my post at all.
In what world is a single comment on the internet the same as an abusive domestic relationship?
What the fuck are you talking about?
Yeah there has to be a balance between “what a clever idea!” and “lol that’s dumb why are you talking to me”
The comparison to a niche online community makes a lot of sense.
Some mail providers will show you a link preview on click or on hover.
You are getting in the way of a scam that all parties are aware of and perfectly ok with.
As a moron, I wish companies would just fucking tell me about their scams. I never catch on until a few months after I leave the company.
So… people are born using AI, then?
If lack of flattery due to using AI is making people think everyone is mean to them and causing them to turn to AI rather than people…. then…what??? I’m sorry but you’re breaking my brain here. Can you make it make sense so I can understand?
People want to feel good and don’t want to feel bad, and this isn’t a moral failing of any kind. I don’t think AI use is because of AI. I think people turn to AI because talking to other people is just so unpleasant. This is the result of human nature, not because of the devil or because of evil, not due to anything else you can condemn someone to Hell for.
Yeah, it certainly can be. It is possible to tactfully and gracefully disagree with someone without making them look or feel stupid, and without causing them to lose face. This is something our grandparents used to do for each other.
Come on man, you’ve been outside, presumably. You know that the douchebaggery out there isn’t limited to people just not being very flattering towards each other.
We could all solve this problem by being less shitty and becoming easier to talk to. Who’s gonna be first?

I didn’t click on these, but I imagine it’s Never Gonna Give You Up.
That’s what they look like! There’s a big wire inside!
Nope
Well actually I don’t know
No, most cheap ones are the metal kind with exposed components, not the glass kind with the metal bottom.
The stovetop ones are more common. They’re usually made of ceramic or metal, sometimes glass or cast iron. I had a glass one I really loved, but it shattered. I replaced it three times before I gave up. Metal it is.
It’s unique in that it’s harder to clean. Yes the smooth ones do also build up minerals.
Those are more expensive.
It tastes like pipes
You don’t really need to clean it the same way. With the stovetop kettle, you can just use soap and water every time, maybe a little bit of vinegar. It’s all smooth inside, you see.
It’s all smooth in there. There aren’t a bunch of grooves and components in there.
I learned about CLR because of a similar product, called Lime-Away
“Lime, Calcium and Rust, Lime-away is a must!”
So when I went to the store to find Lime-away, I saw CLR, which is titled just like the Lime-away commercial, and I just used that instead. I don’t know if I’ve ever even tried Lime-away.
Then, years later, I met my wife.
She put vinegar in there for maintenance cleaning.
My wife didn’t know about CLR.
Yes, there is also Lime-Away, which is a similar product. It stands for Lime, Calcium and Rust.
Yeah, I guess so. It builds up on the shower head too, and we have to use a filtration pitcher.
you know, it’s got a lil spout, you put it on the stove.
Electric kettles are hard to clean
My wife was trying to clean our kettle
