I want multiple ovens, air fryer is the only realistic way of achieving that with the space I have and having essentially a micro oven is useful as it takes less power to heat up for small dishes.
Need? I mean sure, but I don’t NEED to cook with electricity as I could cook over a wood fire.

Mildly InfuriatingI would like a bit of colour. But fuck wallpaper. Most of our carpets are blue, not in the bathroom or kitchen though. Could do with getting some rugs but nice ones are hardly cheap.

ClimateDepressingly this is probably a way to ensure better treatment than any care home would give you. Have known someone do some cruising in retirement, but the ship was wind powered and made of wood.
As you wouldn’t want equipment damaged you could have a training/certification scheme. Realistically a deposit too.

EnshittificationOurs turn off around midnight. That probably helps a fair bit. Changing brightness does seem like an interesting idea though, probably better to have them dim before all turning off. At least my street is pitch black but I think main roads remain turned on. Live in urban sprawl between 2 cities so even with our street off there is still loads of light pollution.

I would be fine with oat flour. They could place a small dehuller there next to the heap of oats. As farm equipment goes that would be almost free.
I would gladly turn up and by grains from a big heap if it was a reliable and reasonably affordable option. I would even bring my own sacks. My bike should be able to store around 70L of grain, more if I get a trailer. Which if this became a reliable option I would possibly consider doing.
Very brief look suggests £200/ton or 20p/kg for oats as what a farmer gets paid. I would happily pay double that to have a pile I can bag up myself.
Farming union owns and rents out the equipment? Already got the union, make it more useful. Might make smaller farms more practical too.

Air fryers are smaller and portable though. I don’t have the space for 3 ovens. I do have the space for a small oven and air fryer with 2 compartments.
Rarely need all of them, but more than 1 or having a small one is frequently beneficial

Only places I have seen TEGs really used in a useful sense is stove fans. They blow air around the stove to move warm air around the room.
If you want primitive, steam engine? Orders of magnitude efficient than thermoelectric generators.

Although everyone has been getting increasingly distant from her as she won’t turn up to anything that isn’t fancy enough for her, and there is an increasing feeling that she only ever messages us when she doesn’t have anything else she would rather do going on - we hear from her much more when she is unemployed and single.

Depends a lot on what you want from it. Trees, hedges, shrubs, plants?
My garden is mainly shrubs because its quite small. If I had more space I would add fruit trees.
No fires here, how much traffic pollution do they remove and how much goes through?
Have wondered about making one, not sure where I would get HEPA sheets like that though, or a fan like that tbh. Don’t seem to be that common in the UK.
