Well….. at least he’s consistent! And that’s hard to find in this day and age…..
LOL sorry, i use voice dictation for several reasons and it does that sometimes and i don’t always catch it. It’s ‘riding’
Well the NDPis always an option. If you kind of like the conservatives but you don’t like the current candidates you should probably get involved with your local writing association and see about helping to pick a candidate that you like. Or if you’ve already got a conservative MP in your writing meet with his or her policy committee or them directly and talk about what you’d like to see different. You’d be amazed at how much of an effect that has and if you feel that way then there’s bound to be others who also feel that way.
Democracy isn’t about just showing up once every four or five years to vote after all 😁
Well, it’s kind of complicated 😁
We signed the original deal a decade and change ago and then built the bridge. The deal was that all revenues would go to canada until the 4.5 billion usd price was paid back, then it would go to income splitting.
Trump said ’nope’ and Carney and trump agreed to a new deal. But Carney would not let the details be released. However the documents have since been leaked, and we BELIEVE the leaked version is correct. The liberals have not said otherwise.
The new deal is a more of a preliminary deal document which is being finalized, but the terms of the deal are laid out.
Carney said the new deal still included the ‘pay back canada for the bridge’ clause, but its’ pretty clear from the leaked doc that it does not. Carney has subsequently said he “could have explained that better’ and does not deny that will no longer be the case.
There is also a requirement now to pay into a ‘development fund’ for ‘the area’ which is thought to mean it would be spent on the US side, and may even go to maintenance of the competing bridge. The libs refuse to confirm or deny that.
So … the NEW deal is still in place but there are a few elements which SOUND pretty bad but we’re not sure about. It seems certain however that when carney said (two times) that the bridge would include repayment he was not speaking accurately. Some say he lied, some say he may have been “misbriefed,” but either way it looks horrible and hence the pic
Nobody thought nafta had anything to do with a recession 😂😂😂😂 The word recession wasn’t even mentioned 😁😁 This is what happens when you pay too much attention to the voices in your head
My numbers are perfectly accurate and Golly Gee…. you can’t post any at all!!!! Why it’s almost like you’re just talking out of your ass!! LOLOL!!!!
Harper pissed china off on a regular basis. He literally invited the Dalai lama to visit and more than once told china to piss off. They were always a little nervous around him. But sure he wanted to do business with them if possible, but he sure as hell didn’t cozy up to them the way Justin did. That’s why they called Justin little potato. And carney is just absolutely their man in Ottawa. China lent carney the money that Brooksfield Lent to elon musk to buy twitter. And they lent him that money when he was over there working for Trudeau and the Canadian government to deal with another issue
So swinging a miss there too. You really don’t know your history
And sorry kid but the only one who is senile and childish here is you. I have presented facts, links, actual information and all you’ve done is wine and cry and everything that you have said has turned out to be false
In the last half century the conservatives have been the ones that have moved Canada forward and built Canada up, the liberals are always the ones who have no idea what to do next and wind up tearing down the hard work of others
Free trade agreement with the USA. You know, that thing that dug us out of the hole the LAST trudeau got us into and that is in the newspaper every single day now? Holy crap you’re out of the loop. How have you never heard of the free trade agreement between Canada and the US?
the libs didn’t pass our banking regs. Our major banking reforms, credited with saving us during the recession, was authored and passed by Brian Mulroney in 1987 and 1992 and changed canada entirely. which set us up for prosperity later.
Harper spent over $100 billion in infrastructure. He didn’t spend Even a billion on advertising. You really have no knowledge of any of this it would seem. Maybe you should do some more reading before you talk
During Stephen Harper’s tenure as Prime Minister (2006–2015), the federal government spent an estimated $750 million to $757 million on advertising campaigns., https://www.google.com/search?

Nope, it doesn’t mean it’s turned around. I can go over the numbers and circumstances leading up to each and every one if you like. I feel like that won’t work out the way you wanted,
The conservatives came up with gst, free trade agreements, and banking changes that saved us during the worldwide recession, they came up with ‘shovel ready’ infrastructure models during the recession which really worked for us, along with the cmhc buy back which was nothing short of brilliant and kept our banks flush with cash to lend, and about a dozen other things. And PP has proposed many ideas that would make a substantial difference right now. Carney steals ideas but can’t implement.
I’m sure it’s upsetting because it doesn’t meet with your narrative but that doesn’t make it less true.
Yeah I’m kind of seeing that. Well, maybe he’ll be able to defend his position this time
No. You’re wrong. Here’s a chart

As you can see almost all of our peaks are always around the liberals. The liberals almost unanimously add massive amounts to the debt
Worse the liberals usually leave things in such a mess that we have massive inflation that has to have massive increases in interest rates which makes the debt grow even faster and they just leave that for conservatives to deal with
So it would be you who is rewriting history and badly at that
Trudeau racked up debt and massively spiked inflation, mulroney put that down
Chretchen only reduced the deficit and debt by stealing 70 billion dollars from the unemployment insurance fund and left things a mess, harper scared us through the economic crisis
Justin Trudeau borrowed more money than every other prime minister before him and Carney is set to do the same
The only people who have had good ideas in the last 60 years have been conservatives. And Carney ran on conservative ideas now.
Sorry kid, you failed that one hard
Absolute nonsense. It was a conservative government that dealt with the massive debt left by the liberal governments under the first Trudeau the negotiated the original free trade deal that saved our asses at the time. It was a conservative government that moved from the hidden taxes to the GST which made things considerably better as well. It was a conservative government that wrote the banking act that saved us during the great recession while the American banking system collapsed.
And it was a later CPC government that pulled a bunch of extremely unique and Innovative tricks to get us through the great recession largely unscathed compared to other countries. Tricks that Trudeau would later use but had never been used before.
The current conservative party is making dozens of extremely good suggestions that would radically change how things are: And Carney based his entire campaign off of other conservative suggestions
It would be more accurate to say that conservatives are the only party that proposes solutions. The liberal steal some of them and then fail to execute
This confirms my long held belief that hedgehogs would be fun at parties. They’d be like little mobile snack trays
There does seem to be a certain amount of that and some of the communities. I feel like people are too sensitive but I don’t want to say that too loudly or I might get banned
People frequently use precursors in order to obtain your attention. It gets more sophisticated as people grow up but children find it effective early on. One of the reasons they are so enamored with it is parents tend to use that phrase with their children quite a bit to make sure they’ve got their attention and the kids just pick it up. So it’s kind of like a baby talk left over
Adult versions are things like ‘You’ll never guess what just happened to me” Or “You’re never going to believe this”
Absolutely, the police officer should just accept being run over is being part of their job and quit their whining! OR…. now hear me out…. OR People could not try and run police officers over with their vehicles and do what they’re told when they’re being arrested and let their lawyers handle it. Sounds crazy I know
Well I guess it doesn’t pay the bills anyway 😁 Seriously if you go back and look at some of her original works she was funny and talented, now you look at it you think what the hell happened to this lady? I guess she found her audience preferred this kind of hatred
Just pieces of trash. But honestly so is pizza cake, all she does is spread hatred with her comics the same as they do with their bullshit. I don’t see much difference between the two of them
He’s a witch! Burn him! BUUUUURN THE WITCH!!!!!!!!!!
To be honest, historically and depending on the installation solar power is more useful in the summer or warmer months and dams are less useful because you’re hoping the reservoir fills up and provides power all winter. The reverse is true in the winter we’re damn sure produce more reliable energy but solar power is slightly less available
So to me this sounds like a fairly elegant solution where the dam will now produce large amounts of power throughout the spring and summer months as well as the fall and winter months allowing for more water to be saved up for the winter and more power generation. I’m sure the solar also helps augment the winter as well
I have never said anything remotely close to “The wages are the only component” If you have to be dishonest about what I’ve said in order to make your point then you probably don’t have a very good point. What I have said is that the wages are 100% included in the calculation. So if $50 is paid in wages then GDP goes up by $50 and that is absolutely true
And you fundamentally misunderstand the point I’m making. I never said anything about wages being the only cost. What I said originally was that the entirety of their wages are included in the value of the GDP and nothing about the fact that other costs are also included changes that fact. Which demonstrates that your original claim is false considering all wages are included with regards to those calculations in those sectors
I’m feeling like perhaps this is a little bit beyond your grasp. The original claim is that gDP minus income means something and my counterpoint which you are not getting is that gDP actually includes income for a significant portion of the sector therefore your statement is wrong. It doesn’t have to be the only input for that to be true
You can say anything is a distribution of profit. Wages are in distribution of profit, the company makes money and uses a portion of it to pay its employees. The company pays the shareholders in exchange for the money that the shareholders have paid to own a portion of the company. An employee transfers money from the company account to his personal account. This is absolutely a cost of doing business. Just like repaying a loan is a cost of doing business
In the case of a public utility or not for profit exactly what I said is true.
“Because public services like healthcare, national defense, and education are rarely sold at a market price, Statistics Canada measures their output by calculating the cost to produce them. Therefore, the value of government output is deemed to be exactly equal to the total cost of the wages paid to public servants plus the cost of intermediate inputs.”
So wages in such cases directly increase the GDP. If you pay a nurse or a police officer $50 per hour then for that hour the GDP goes up by $50
In the case where a corporation distributes profits it absolutely is relevant. You made the statement that the corporation is retaining the profits and that’s not accurate. Dividends are akin to repayment of a loan. They are cost of doing business.
My statement in the original post could only be true if all costs are derived from labor.
Sure. In such a case GDP and income would be equal pre-tax.

The most effective system in history by far (and it’s not even close) Is capitalism. One of the primary tenants of capitalism is that in order for it to work for every dollar paid a dollar of value must be created. That system can sustain a certain level of inefficiency and donation and charity but only a little before it begins to drag the entire system to a halt.
You’ve created some sort of weird closed loop where money is spent and then taxed again into infinity and that’s just not a viable thing. There’s nothing in that loop that creates the wealth in the first place. Well doesn’t exist unless it is constantly created and not only would your system not be able to function for any length of time, it would basically guarantee that poorer people would never have a chance of getting ahead I would be stuck in a perpetual cycle dependent on the government and unable to move out of their class
I think you’re fundamentally Misunderstanding what GDP is and what GDP capita is. GDP is the value of goods or services created. But in many cases those services represent the value. So what winds up being included is just the wage. For example the wage of a government worker, which represents 25% of all jobs in Canada, is included in the GDP. The wages for many other sectors are also included in the GDP.
In addition you’re not taking into account corporate disbursement such as dividends. Dividends are not retained by the corporation, and are very frequently paid to pension funds and workers directly if they happen to own shares in the company. Many companies also have Various forms of profit sharing along those lines and that would be after corporate earnings. Many middle class people own stocks as part of their retirement portfolios or rrsps. They would also benefit from those dividends and the corporation would not
So it wouldn’t be accurate to say that at all. I guess you could sort of say there’s a sort of a kind of relationship but not really.
Around day two you should try and sprinkle a little anti-diarrhea medicine on it if you can for him
