Reminds me of the Freeze Truck from Batman.
I love the idea of the language, but for a dumb reason. Say you go to Korea, have fun, make new friends, and invite them to visit you. Unfortunately, you no longer speak Korean after leaving the country, so you suddenly lose the ability to communicate mid-flight, and you’re this person’s only connection to wherever you’re landing.
I don’t even think Chicago makes the list.
I would actually love to see an adaptation of Asteroids. You have a lot of options.
1) A ship/station’s automated defense system fails, so humans have to use manual targeting to fend off a rock storm as the structure sustains more and more damage.
2) Mining operation goes bad, with or without aliens/microbes.
3) Rockbusters clearing a shipping lane encounter aliens, but nobody believes the first guy to see them because they just did a quick drive-by.
…and many more!
I also hate that the word “unrealistic” keeps coming up about character bodies when so many are literally real people that got body scanned.
I assume that’s why she left. To recharge the jade egg that’s been animating him for the past three years.
This is the first time I’ve thought that the SAG “no same names” rule wasn’t entirely ridiculous.
I keep seeing articles like this, but it was showing as sold out for at least three months before the price hike for me. I guess they’re better off selling some as long as there’s demand.
Charlie Murphy? Like died almost a decade ago Charlie Murphy?
RetroFed
You’re right. They deserve to pay 50% more per ounce of beef for defying me.
I’m not going to use Trivago, but I love that commercial. My wife and I will do grinning impressions at each other while trying not to move our faces.
Also smash burgers. Why are people paying actual hamburger prices for what seem to be burnt scraps from other people’s burgers?
At first I thought you meant the homepage was offering unexpected porn, and I was considering going back. (I live in a repressed state.)
Minus the lobotomies, that’s still happening.
It’s wild that this is directly under the “worm-like creatures found in drinking water at ICE detention center” for me.
My firefox is set to restore my last session, so I never see the homepage.
Oh, Lemmy’s like this, too, I guess. That’s a shame.
Holy shit, that’s more than the employee discount I got working in retail.
It’s load bearing.
This won’t work for everyone, obviously, but following up is a thing I try to do. I actually keep notes of a lot of things, so if someone says they’re going to TowelCon to check out all the latest towel innovations, I’ll look up the dates for TowelCon and make a note to ask how it went.
I object to the death of literal, as well. These things only happen if we collectively allow it, and I’d rather not. Especially with the declining literacy rate.
It’s a shame that we couldn’t have an Advent Children type of thing covering the lead-up to the Night of Black Knives. Surely they have the money.
No soulslike right now, because I’m working my way through the Resident Evil series in order, but this made me want to play Lies of P again.
The first one that came to mind is Sif in Dark Souls, specifically if you do the DLC first and she recognizes you. She goes from a regular monster boss to a sentient creature with a long memory and complex emotions.
Also, poor loyal puppy baby.
That’s not really the issue. Your opinion is that AI music is subjectively good. Objective things aren’t opinions.
My problem with it is that there is no objectively good music. The whole premise was bad from the start.
I can’t believe nobody’s called you out on not knowing what “objectively” means yet.
Got to be Circe. But chickens instead of pigs.
One of the food delivery apps labeled something “long distance delivery” at five miles. I could walk that. I didn’t, but I certainly didn’t pay someone else to drive it.
