Here is the short automated summary.
In this video, Francis Farrell of the Kyiv Independent visits a prisoner-of-war camp in western Ukraine to interview Russian soldiers (1:15). The goal of these interviews is to understand why, despite heavy losses and the reality of the war, Russian citizens continue to sign up for military service (1:22).
Key takeaways from the interviews:
Motivation for enlisting: The interviewed soldiers cite various reasons for joining, including financial incentives to pay off debts or home repairs (7:29, 8:17, 11:31), the influence of peers (11:39), or a sense of duty to fulfill their military oath (0:25, 15:00).
Experience in the conflict: The soldiers describe their combat experiences, including long periods of holding positions in dangerous conditions, constant fear, and the realization that their reality often differed from the promises made at recruitment (4:26, 7:51, 11:49).
View of the war: Many of the prisoners express weariness and a desire for the conflict to end, with some noting that their perspective on the war shifted significantly once they were on the ground and experienced the destruction firsthand (5:08, 8:51, 12:43).
Conclusion and observations:
Farrell concludes that the motivation for many of these soldiers is often rooted in a sense of disconnection and emptiness rather than a deep ideological commitment (19:23).
The video highlights the unsustainable nature of the conflict as Ukraine aims to stop the steady “conveyor belt” of new Russian recruits (20:06, 20:17).
The report serves as a somber reminder of the ongoing nature of the war and the human cost involved on both sides (21:14).
Something tells me that cat isn’t enjoying it as much as its owners.
Oh no. That is another whole year to wait.
That is actually very sick behavior.
It depends on how hungry you are.
It is not goat, it is GOAT.
No offense, but cat looks more like a cute alien to me. Which is also sweet.
Well… I suppose that I just made a rookie mistake of giving some chances to ML.
Whoah… The situation is even worse than I originally thought.
What thinking? Providing a short summary is not thinking. There are none of my personal opinions present(except for the first sentence describing what is coming next). I simply provided a text version of a video without creating it myself to specifically exclude possibility of accidentally adding my personal opinions to the summary instead of providing an accurate video representaion.
Thanks. Yeah, I was mostly referring to the social media, publically available software(like OS or apps) makers and some tech manufacturers. Should have clarified that.
Maybe because they don’t possess a threat to us despite being surprisingly intelligent(this fact relates more to bigger parrots).
For the campfire to scale down like that it also needs more oxygen in the atmosphere. Otherwise you will just get some smoldering wood shavings(or they will turn into a candle fire in size if there enough of them close together). In both cases such campfire will exist for a very short time.
Thanks for the info.
This can be related to any calls or even watching a YouTube video without a headphones.
Okay, thanks.
It is not a propaganda. It is my personal opinion and I can be wrong. The same way as you. The only difference is that you act as you are better than me and don’t even bother to provide disproves.
I wonder if Google would try to “punish” DuDuckGo for such ragebaiting actions.
I think that it is about a guy named Luigi Mangione, who eliminated a CEO. Hint to continue his actions.

Thanks, but I am not that sad for gaining an achievement. :)
Well, most of what I can do is generate a digital blueprint for anyone to print it on clothing. 😅
So? Prove him wrong.
That is insane.
Not sure if this allowed to be posted here, but I am now banned for anticommunism and shaming of ML(which I don't regret)
Long story short: got into argument with mod and famous @Cowbee@lemmy.ml. Not regretting it.
I suppose, that supporting russia and selling weapons to it doesn’t count as aggressive actions towards Ukraine in Iran, so that is why they don’t understand why they were attacked in first place.
ML spammers infestation keeps growing. They now, sadly, spread to other instances. Does rules of this community allow for post removal or ban action?
What a disaster! /s
It is the next level of laziness to not check what AI generates for you.
Finally.
I think that we compare here just heavy anal bleeding with having part(or parts) of you body ripped apart by metal object exiting it in wrong direction with high force and speed.
The only situation when glass is worse is when metal object leaves your body in the same way as it entered even with higher speed and force, thus not dealing much of a damage.
Still better than a metal one during MRI scanning.
/s should be in bold and uppercase.
Make a post in your community as soon as possible so that it won’t look like one of these ghosts communities.
To keep living.
This comment is so based, that it will be hard to surpass it.
