They can keep it if they promise to continue not delivering ai Siri.

I am an iPhone user, for 250USD million I’ll pretend to be heartbroken for the lack of AI in Siri.

Your tears will net you approximately 30¢ of that $250 mil. Congrats!

straight into an in app transaction

The proposed settlement would apply to people in the US who purchased all models of the iPhone 16 and the iPhone 15 Pro between June 10th, 2024 and March 29th, 2025.

People who submit qualifying claims can receive $25 for each eligible device, “which may decrease or increase up to $95 per device, depending on claim volume and other factors,” according to Clarkson Law Firm, the legal team behind the class action lawsuit.

Wow I qualify for this, bought my son an iphone 16. How do I collect?

The second link that I have cited brings you to the law firm, there is more information who is eligible and how to participate

I would start by clicking the second link in the previous post, the one for the law firm handling this. They should tell you there how to participate.

How much did they make selling incomplete devices?

Apple is the king of “don’t buy a product based on what it will do”

It’s been ~10 years since I bought a “what is a computer” iPad Pro. Great drawing tablet, awful computer. I can’t even run something like vscode in the browser.

right, but at this point you can only put that down to malicious practice by apple. And I’d like to see them held accountable for that.

if you can run macos on a phone chip, you should be able to run vscode (etc.) on an ipad.

cool. so we get $25 back on a $1000 phone that didn’t do what they said it would do.

this world, man. this world.

You wont, the lawyers will. You will have to jump through endless hoops for $8

Na, just app store credit. Which they take 30% of. /s (probably?)

Way cheaper than actually producing the promised product.
