I’m about 6 weeks into owning my first automatic watch, a Timex titanium field watch. It runs fairly accurately, all things considered, and gains about 10 seconds per day. It is not a big deal in the least, but my anal retentive psyche has decided that the seconds need to be hacked back to perfect accuracy every morning.
Hello, just wanted to share my story as a reminder with all the lay offs in the gaming industry, it has been terrible outside of it too. I’ve been working as an automation QA for a pretty decent software company and I was about to hit like 11 years on the job. Also on the side I’ve been trying to get my own indie game dev studio off the ground with releasing 3 small games in the past 3 years.
I now live closer to my anime addict friend, so I’ve been watching a lot more anime than usual lol. I’m a casual basic bitch anime fan. My top 5 is something like Frieren, DBZ, FMA/B (switch shows in the middle), Outlaw Star, Death Note.
This is our 3 year anniversary! And without you guys this wouldn’t have happened. I’m glad we have all these passionate people all over the fediverse willing to post the most amazing retro content.
Besides Custom feeds (Misskey’s “Antennas"), Catodon is the first Misskey fork that implements native hashtag following, like Mastodon. This has been one of the most requested features in the Firefish days, and I’m very happy that it is finally available.
With temperatures reaching well into the 30s (in celsius of course :sunglasses:) in the Toronto area, we’re all firmly in summer mode :swimmer: :beach_with_umbrella: , but that won’t stop us from forging on ahead with new features and fixes for NodeBB!
Earlier this month I created a new community devoted to retro mobile phones. I specifically chose RetroLemmy as host instance for reasons that should be obvious: focus on retro technologies. But I am very new to the fediverse (refugee from Reddit), and back on that other site I never owned or moderated a sub - hence I am new to the realities of community management as well. So far I am the only one who has posted in my newly started community, others have only commented - but no problem, everyone has to start somewhere.
Earlier this week I migrated www.freecalypso.org to a new server, and that migration had a side effect of taking all of my Mercurial code repositories offline. (It happened this way because only the static file archive was migrated initially.) I am now pleased to report that all FreeCalypso and Themyscira Wireless Hg repositories are back online at this new location. Old URLs still work as well, handled via HTTP(S) redirect.
