An April report by the World Meteorological Organization found Europe is warming at more than double the global rate. According to the Reuters Climate Monitor, Europe on Monday was the continent furthest from its historic norm, with temperatures forecast to reach an average 24C, 4.1C above what was typical from 1961-1990.
I didn’t know that. Really sucks for Europe😔
Kind of strange that the industrial revolution and invention of the ice car is really backfiring for us. Usually the bad stuff only happens to the poor countries.
Meanwhile, central Spain, which is usually hot AF in the summer, but dry, thankfully, has a forecast of mid to low 30’s next week. We’ll get a few 40+ during the summer, but it’s expected, and most people know how to deal with it. There are a few deaths every summer, but it’s generally elders who don’t realize they are dehydrating.
