The film Delicatessen has a great scene where these are being made. Great film overall if you like weird French post-apocalyptic humor.
Or arthouse horror.
Or Rube Goldberg machines.
I love that weird damn movie.
Also see City of the Lost Children by the same director. (and some of the same actors)
