Do you want way more mass shootings? Because that’s how you get way more mass shootings.
I doubt it, mass shooters are predominantly right wing white men — you know, the types that absolutely would not be medicated anyway.
Well let’s see: heroin is categorized as Schedule I meaning maximally addictive with no therapeutic benefit, and…
All anti-depressants are not Scheduled at all meaning they have *zero addiction potential*. And meta-analyses show they do *have therapeutic potential*.
What good is a representative democracy when these are our representatives?
Cannabis was up until very recently schedule 1. A substance that has almost no addictive potential and has many scientifically proven benefits.
I don’t know how heroin is classified to have no therapeutic benefits, when opiates are the most common prescribed pain killers and used in almost every inpatient surgery.
Point being, the drug scheduling system is outdated and shouldn’t be trusted to make these types of comparisons.

No national health insurance, but there’s a new “billing code” for patients to experience!
“We’re actually just making the whole pharmaceutical industry illegal. You can only buy my supplements…. Err… I mean, someone’s great supplements, that have been Proven* to cure everything… Eventually.”
“We’re going back to the four humours theory. George Washington would still be alive if they just bloodlet him some more.”
It’s just horse dewormer
Oh great a new thing to be anxious about
Someone should curb him.
The headline is ahocking but the article is so much worse. I got to the part where he suggested shipping black kids off to work farms and I had to stop.
Sec Brainworm was asked about that quote, swore up and down he never said it then eventually said he no longer stands by that.
Oh, I appreciate the extra context. I was not aware of that. Thank you!
I just left an antidepressant because of a side effect. Other than that side effect, it really did help a lot.
However, the withdrawal from leaving was incredibly tough. I was out of commission for like a week and a half. Someone going through that to leave a medication that completely works for them must be even tougher. What a monster.
I discovered yesterday that dropping a medication like that without doing it gradually can cause brain damage. If anyone is looking to switch or stop medications that affect brain function, do a little research first and bring this concern up with your doctor. It’s my understanding that for some medications, like Xanax, it’s best to taper off in order to avoid injury.
Xanax is straight up a narcotic too so you better be damn careful with the withdrawals. But other semi related note I could take 1mg of that shit back in high school and get FUCKED up for like a whole day and a half. Like 30 hours later I wake up still high as fuck and it feels like 3 hours passed. Remember only like 2 things that happened. I don’t even have anxiety I could imagine what it does for those who have panic attacks n stuff
Aren’t you supposed to manage meds dosage with a medical professional, even in the US, or do people commonly eyeball this? Because stopping those treatments, even for switching molecules, is really part of the treatment itself.
It’s different for everyone and depends on how long you were taking them, but it’s really hard on a lot of people. I got withdrawal for over a year getting off venlafaxine (the devil). I’ve been on a different one much longer and I expect to need months to wean off should this idiot actually ban them. I’m considering starting now just in case, but I fear I’ll be too unstable without them. Fuck this guy seriously.
Idk heroin made me less depressed for quite a while
