I feel like this poster is in every high school French classroom.
I was going to say that I’m pretty sure I’ve seen this on a bottle of wine at some point haha
And a reasonable facsimile is on a ton of jazz albums. I was never good enough to put a black cat on mine
The artist is Théophile Alexandre Steinlen.
Theophile. Someone who really loves Theo.
And Theo means God in Greek. Godloving, theophile.
Theophilus. Someone who really loves two Theos
