Seeding

I have a few questions that are probably pretty elementary. I just started downloading torrents from private trackers/torrent sites at the end of last year and I’m a little confused by how seeding works. I download (a lot of freeleech) and then just let it seed and never remove anything. Is it normal to see those torrents not being uploaded? Nearly every time I check, they are all at 0, but say “seeding”. Do they seed for so long and then become “dead”? My ratios are all good and most are 2.0+ with the exception of TV Vault which always just sits at .92. I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong or not…? I use QBit and I’d say it’s running about 85% of the time. Do I need to DL and seed new torrents to keep the ratio going up?

Any help, advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.
