over US suppliers
There is only one US supplier, Micron and they will always have booked out accounts since DoD will buy US first (or at least did before Hogsbreath)
over Taiwanese suppliers
Who?
not mentioned South Korean suppliers
This is the real competition, who isn’t mentioned at all, so I’ll assume they’re no where near competing with Samsung.
And they’re gonna sell to consumers right? And not cash in on the data center bubble right? …right?
I mean once China starts pumping stuff in volume, then it has translated into cheap consumer goods historically. I don’t see why this would be different.
“Foreign suppliers generally follow the highest-return opportunities and can allocate most of their supply to data centers,” Duann said. “Chinese suppliers cannot do that in the same way because the government can provide guidance and encourage them to support certain local industries.”
So, kind of? But it still might be a long time before we see any relief on the consumer electronics front.
